Josh,

Did you ever figure out how to get a new interest list up on the board? I was the guy who came in Sat night & asked you to put up 1/2 PLO8. As far as I know it never made it up there. It was probably too late in the night to get it going, but you never know until it's on the board. Plus as I've posted before to Noah, 1/2 PLO8 is much more likely to catch on regularly as an Omaha starter game - lots of action & not too punishing for the beginner. Build a base of Omaha players, let them get tired of getting chopped by low chasers, then graduate to the 2/5 PLO game you're wanting to spread regularly.

Not that this is a big complaint. I wound up on a juicy 2/5 table (#27) Sat night that didn't break until 7am. Gotta love watching daybreak over the track. But it would be nice to have some kind of regular Omaha to mix things up a bit...

why you reduce the time charge short handed is that you now have a couple of free shills keeping your games going and still making some money. if they quit then you lost that game and it may not start again.

and you need to structure your rakes and time charges so some of the players can actually win. this way you get game starters, and your casino can grow.

plus bigger games ultimately make your club the premier place to play. the smaller stake players tend to follow where the higher stake players go if there is competition among casinos.

Im pretty sure i seen what looked like two 10/25 games running on Saturday afternoon/early evening.

Yes, 1/2 PLO8 will be on board tomorrow... the system require the display be down for the addition so it's a little rough to do it while we're operating. Hopefully we'll get that game going!

Several people have asked about non-holdem activity in the room.

We have had a few games, 4/8omh/l and 1-3sstud on the weekend, and a few occaisons where people have signed up to play during the week but we didn't get enough to open a table. Personally, I would like to see these games going because I enjoy playing them so much.

This Past Saturday we had 2 4/8omh/l that started around 11:30am, one main and one must move. The main game lasted until just after midnight.

Parisron,

Both 5-10's run each day. We have no less than 2 and sometimes 4, $500-$2500 5-10 games going each day. A half and half PLO and NL Hold'em has been running on weekends with 10-25 blinds.

Our high limit section is second to none in the state.

Take care,

Noah

Nap,

The spot has not been picked as of yet.

As a matter of fact, I am headed down south tomorrow to take a look at potential sites.

We are extremely excited about the opportunity to provide another option for South Florida Poker players.

We are going to assemble a staff that will be second to none in customer service and knowledge.

Take care,

Noah

I heard this too. Something about the former Winn Dixie or Walmart that you're converting? You might want to consider acoustics in that event. Ovation in Boynton was a Winn Dixie and you couldn't make out anything anyone said inside that place.

A place I hope that can have eventually 100+ tables and a hotel to attract big tournament events. Locating it as close as possible to Deerfield Bch would help me too !

Teddy,
I heard that the Palmetto and 441 site was nixed by the City of Boca because of the heavy traffic on Palmetto. It's hard to get anything by the City of Boca. I think Delray or Boynton would be sweet. Some big box stores are closing in this area.

Gentlemen,

Nothing has been discussed specifically with any city. We are sure that many towns would be more than happy to bring in a form of entertainment that would provide 300+ jobs.

I am dead serious when I say all speculation is just speculation.

My next meeting in regards is this week.

I will update you all as soon as I hear anything.

Take care,

Noah

Thanks for the update Noah, No more speculation!
For the 4-8 Omaha 8 with a half kill, how about a Red Kill or Red 1/2 Kill button, besides the white dealer button with the words 1/2 kill on one side.

This is absolutely the truth regarding the 5/10 games.....PBKC has the best arena for these games.......now lets see some changes for the tournament area.

Wezvidz,

If you are not playing here because of the cost of water, I will make sure you do not pay.

Please let me know next time you stop by.

It was one reason of a few, including the 'no buying the button' rule (which you said has been changed), lack of comps, and dropping without a flop (the biggest peeve which I'd like to see changed).

I'll still play the tournaments occasionally, but my cash game play is going to be elsewhere. If I have to seek you out to get one free bottle of water, forget it lol. Like I said, it's not a big deal, but there's no reason it shouldn't be free for everyone, especially when $2 is taken from me every time I preflop raise and nobody calls.

Wow, they take $2 even if there isn't a flop? That's as bad as California. I'm doing some research since I'll be spending a good amount of time in Florida in the near future but some things I've taken for granted is that water and pop are free (in my home casino they have a vending machine so you can get whatever fountain drink you want yourself) and no flop, no drop. Is it standard to pay for water and also steal $2 if there is no flop in Florida or are all places different?

edit: that's worse than California. I think they "only" take $1 from the sb if there is no flop

There are several rooms in S. FL that do No Flop No Drop. The rooms in central and N. FL all take rake even if no Flop(also Jackpot if $10 or more in pot pre flop)
Also there are several rooms around florida that give free bottled water. Most all give free coffee, soda, juice, etc. (except Naples dog track)
