I have a question about the buy-in limits at the NL 5/10 tables. Essentially, the buy-ins for the NL games I've seen at PBKC are roughly these:

NL 1/2: Minimum $60, Max $200 (Standard) (Note; the max might be $300, but still, very standard).
NL 2/5: Minimum $200, Max $500 (Again, pretty much the standard)
NL 5/10: Minimum $100, Max $300 (???)

In most other card rooms, the buy-in limits for a 5/10 game are around $500 minimum and $1k or $2k maximum. So I was just curious as to why the 5/10 limits are set like this where you can only buy in at a max of 30bb, whereas on the other NL tables, you can buy in for up to 100bb at a time.

Also, this brings up the following scenario - note that I would never do this, but I'm sure it's at least been attempted. Can a player buy in at the max of $500 for a 2/5 NL game, and then proceed to immediately request a table change to a 5/10 NL game, bringing their full rack of red chips along with them? That, if allowed, would most definitely circumvent the $300 max limit on the 5/10 game, but I hope that's not allowed and if a player tried to do that, he or she would only be able to put down $300 on the 5/10 table.

Apologies if this has already been covered previously in thread. See you at the WSOPc!

Hi jtex316,

The $100-$300 buy-in 5-10NL is pretty much a Florida exclusive game. We have a regular 5-10NL with a $500-$2,500 buy-in that plays in the pit. If you would like to play this game see Willie the High-Limits Poker Host to get on the list.

As for your other question, no, dealers are instructed to have all players bring in at or under the maximum regardless of where they bought their chips.

Thanks,
TTJ

Yes, that blog sucks. We should be seeing updates every couple of hours on every event.

Where can I find a structure sheet/details on the Saturday afternoon tournament? Couldn't find one at pbkc.com.

Hi Botswami,

I know we have printouts of the structures in the tournament area but I'm not sure if we've put them online anywhere. I'll check on it and report back when I have more information.

Thanks,
TTJ

Thanks, TTJ. Yes, if you could post them somewhere or attach one to a PM to me or something, I would really appreciate it. I'd like to drive up from Broward County for it, but I don't want to make that drive without at least seeing a sheet first.

How are the crowds here for the 2/5 game on Fridays?

Sorry I'm just seeing this now, the Friday crowd is lively and full. We get 30+ games with at least 5 or 6 2-5NL games. Every Friday and Saturday this month we are doubling the regular weekly high hand promo. We're giving away high hand money every 20 mins starting at 12pm and going until 10pm with no breaks. At 20mins after and 40mins after, the high hand is worth $500. On the hour the high hand is worth $1,000. That's been driving in quite a bit of traffic (as well as enhancing the action a bit). Good luck, hope that answers your question!

Thanks,
TTJ

How many players do you get for the charity tournys? Thinking of playing the $75 buy in tonight - any clue what the expected number is and expected prize pool?

Hi Blink4,
Thanks for the interest in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's charity event last night. We didn't have the strongest turnout for this event and we're hoping to get the word out about it better should it happen again in the future. We value all of our charity events and look forward to helping those who help others as much as we can.

Thanks,
TTJ

Hi, thanks for taking the time to answer my question. I also apologize in advance because this seems like a FAQ, but I wasn't able to find a recent answer to this on either these forums or your website.

What is the rake structure at PBKC like for 1/2? Is there still a $2 BTN post for rake? More details would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello youngest,

Thank you for your interest in the PBKC Poker Room! The rake structure for every game is the same, $5 max at roughly 10% of the pot. Our 1/2NL game does feature a button blind. Come in and see us!

Thanks,
TTJ

$2 min rake, full rake preflop, I believe they rake on the $X5s or X6s rounding up so 25/26 will be $3, 35/36 is $4, 45/46 is $5 and the jackpot used to be taken on the flop for $1 on $10 pot and $2 on $20

Hello all,

It's almost that time again. The WSOPc rolls into town on the 17th of September. Here is the schedule of events. As always, this event is featured in it's own thread on 2p2 http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/65...-28-a-1541614/

We love to hear feedback, especially when it's something we can use to make our room better. We look forward to seeing you all around the tables!

Thanks,
TTJ

I'm sure it varies, but are 2/5 and 5/10 games commonly running between 4 and 8 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. In absence of the Rooneys doing what almost all reputable rooms do, it would be nice if they at least emplyed a live webcam of the room.

You mean like an active wait list, bravo app, active games list? LOL on all that being absent here. This winter I'm going to do what the locals do- bypass the long line at check-in and just walk over to an empty seat and sit down. Play dumb, ask What?, lie about being assigned.
The retired lady drillsergant who runs the desk acts like she knows everything, knows nothing, leaves her post all the time to go look at a table, never asks for help, and cannot keep basic order. People line-jump all the time.
I seem to keep driving a little bit further to Isle Pompano more and more........
