The only time of the year that they don't charge for bottled water and you managed to pay for it?

Yeah it's simply because they don't HAVE to do a single thing courteous to the players and they'll still play. I've been playing here off and on since 2009. Games are always fantastic at 1/2. They have a stranglehold on the entire poker market from Jupiter to Boca.

Living in Boynton it's 15 minutes to the KC or 25 min to CoCo Creek with a bunch of nittier regs... I gotta go to the KC.

Hi Josh
Another question that gets asked a lot is what are they doing with the jackpot $2 per hand? Since they retired the big bad beat there have been no improvements to the everyday promotions. And is it true they took promotional money in July and gave it to Tournament players that put nothing into the promotional pool?

I actually just noticed the promos are getting worse since shutting down the big bad beat. The High hand promo that use to be every 15 mins is now every 20? What is happening here?

I know they do in the Pitt for the "rich" players but I believe the $5/10 ($100/$300) and $2/$5 players generate the same rake. Why feed the rich players and ignore the bread and butter of what makes your room go?
The 5/10(100to300) and the 2/5 generate way more revenue then the pit hands down

Halloween is finally a Friday night and your promotion for every tournament in October is the chance to win an entry into a tournament that starts at 11 am the next morning? That may not be a problem for the core daily players of a certain age but they will not be around for ever.

Once again nothing but no limit hold-em mostly with re-entries.

Guess I will check back in to see if you have anything going in December.

We certainly didn't take the likely, um, sugar-comas into account when planning the Big Dog $50,000 Guarantee event this year. We're bringing that tournament back by popular demand.

Please do check back in December and I'll see if we can mix in some variety in our schedule.

Thanks,
TTJ

Hi, I'm sitting back reading a card player article about the poker room improvements. Says something about new TVs? But all I see are the same two big screens with scrambled pictures. Will those ever get fixed?

I just got news that we will be hosting the Ante-Up Poker Tour this year in December. I'll be sure to post more details as they become available. We hosted an Ante-Up Poker Tour event 2 years ago in December and it was a lot of fun.

Thanks,
TTJ

Yes come during the month and play tourneys. The cash game players bad beat drop $2 per hand is going to fund tournament promos. Can't beat that if your a tourney player.

Thank you to all the tournament players today for your understanding and kindness as we dealt with a problem not of our own making. Someone down the road pierced a county water main and caused the cancelling of the tournament and the closing of the cardroom for what we hope will be a limited amount of time. Check back after 4pm today to see if we will continue with our regularly scheduled events this evening.

Thank You,
TTJ

Again, we want to say thank you to all the players. This time for making the $50,000, $550 buy-in Big Dog 1-day tournament a success! We got 149 players and over $70k in the prize pool!

Our next event will be the Ante-Up Poker Tour in December! For more details check out pbkennelclub.com of just click here. The main event features a $100,000 guarantee and a $575 buy-in, and every tournament from Nov 1 to Dec 10 will have an AUPT $575 Main Event ticket added to the prize pool!

Thanks again,
TTJ

Hi Josh, do they fund the $575 for every touney winner from the $2 jackpot drop? Or in other words, are the tourney players getting a free ride on the cash game players jackpot? Thanks

I do not know the answer but I suspect the only reason they have tournament promotions is to attract players to the main room. I doubt if the Big Dog or ante up do much but it certainly used to work with the WSOP million guarantee.

Considering the mega bad beat is back and they have the high hands it is probably a small percentage of a very large promotional rake.

I can't seem to find this poker room on Bravo or any live game reports. I'm planning a trip down there and I was reading how they are are the largest poker room in Florida (64 tables).

Does anyone know where to get a live game report?

edit: just interested in live games not mtt

I'll take "sore subjects" for $1000, Alex.

If/when PBKC moves the poker room to a satellite facility I hope we see Bravo implemented. I don't mind driving all the way from Vero Beach if I know what games are running--especially during WSOP-C.

12 advanced from AUPT Day 1A with the low stack taking 24,000 units and the big stack taking 244,000 units to the final day Sunday. Congratulations players! Good luck to everyone today and tomorrow! We're expecting a big turnout for a great value with $100,000 guaranteed!

Thanks again,
TTJ

We will not be using Bravo. However, we will have the games available online in the very near future.

since florida is a destination for vacationers, having your games listed where even a newbie can find them, brings players to your establishment that wouldnt find it or go specifically there.
