How would you feel if someone came into your work and convinced the owner to pack up shop and leave? Publicly outing someone's terrible play that might represent someone else's livelihood will get you flamed. The post would have been fine if you just would have left out a description.

For future reference, there are probably 100/1 people that look at this thread than post in it. Don't ruin the game for people you can't afford to play with.

Are you serious? So your making a living off this one guy? all you pro 1-2, 2-5 players need to relax. I have been playing poker for a long time, see lots of people with money get flamed at the tables by their bad play, not ONCE have they raked up their chips cried and said I am going home. Most of the time they smerk at the guy and keep playing.

Yes I know its not nice but to get this fed up about it is funny.

Also free falling telling somebody to "come at me bro" on an Internet message board is laughable. Relax dude. He called the guy a fish. Standard practice.

I'm glad you have no idea who I am. Theoretically, yes, you can make a decent living off one person. So while you grind out $12/hr playing 2/5 and berating the drunk fish, I'll be the guy trying to make players feel welcome and enjoy losing. Never has a player gotten up and cried? Of course not, but when they do leave they don't come back. And while there may be plenty of fish in 1/2 and 2/5 it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep the players that consistently lose in 5/10 and 10/25+. I will continue to reprimand people that think it is ok to do what this is about.

Side note: for the $1M guarantee, what days are being sold and have any days sold out yet?

Noah,

Congrats on your scheduling of the 1MM Guarantee...I am sure it will garner alot of press.

That being said, it is unfortunate that it comes at a price, that you are not offering token satellites this year (like last) that allow players to enter tourneys and win tokens to enter any events they wish.

Why all 3? Are they buying back the tickets or you plan on selling them?

Coming here for the WSOPC for the first time.

What are the min and max for 10/25 and will it run every day when the tournament is going?

Also, I assume the tournament will be held in a separate room on temporary tables and the main cash game room will still run cash game through the tournament right?

In the beginning of the day, there will not be that many cash tables because they are needed for the tourney. As the tourney tables break, cash games will be opened up.

5/10 runs more regularly, it is $500/$2500. Where the larger games run is labeled "the pit" and is a sectioned off area in the middle of the room, it also has a seperate sign up from the regular room. The tables in the pit are not used for tournament play, at least not that I've ever seen. The larger games tend to run early compared to the rest of the country, I.e, 2pm-4pm opening. Hard to say how big the games will be this year but there will probably be at least one a day over 5/10, but most likely it will be more than just nlh as PLO has taken off recently.

The tournament room itself isn't really a room so much as a terrace. It is upstairs. All the overflow tables took up the lower level where the smaller stakes cash games are, and subsequently tables broke from down there first.

Hope this answers your questions

This is my first post on 2+2 and I'm interested in hearing what you all think of the Palm Beach Kennel club poker room.

I'm thinking about making a trip down there with some friends once I turn 18 for about a week to play tournaments/cash games.

1) Are the tournaments well run?
2) About how many people play in the daily tournaments/how long do they run?
3) What kinds of cash games run frequently?
4) Is there anything I should be aware of, being an 18 year old? Can I just walk in and play?

Any other advice or suggestions are well appreciated.

-Thanks

I may be a little biased, but I think the answers are

1) Yes... some of the best in the business
2) On average we get between 60 and 100 for each event, though the WSOPc will be much busier I suspect.
3) 1-2NL, 2-5NL make up most of the tables in the room most days, with a variety of other games here and there (recently we've been getting a 1-2PLO every day).
4) As long as you are 18 years old and carry a valid photo id you have all you need to walk in and play.

Check out our website for area hotel deals and book early. We have one partner hotel that was completely booked as of last Thursday.

We are looking forward to this event and your participation.

Thanks,
TTJ

We have over 1,300 total sold and have moved online availability up to 140 for day 1B and 1C to accommodate out of area player traffic. We've capped sales for day 1A at 100 online, choosing instead to hold aside 100 walk-up tickets for the day of the event. This event is shaping up to be one of the biggest poker events ever in the state of Florida, and we're working hard to prepare for everyone to visit.

Thanks everyone,
TTJ
