You're right, there will be no cameras in the tables, but we're thinking of ideas to spread the excitement. We're very excited about hosting this event, as well as the prospect of the future of Poker in our great State.

Hugh, There will no be hole cams for the WSOPC events but there will be some limited TV exposure for the larger events that will be edited into a future WSOPC airing as well as local and national media reps covering the series. On the other hand, those fortunate enough to either win the Main Event or acquire enough points to advance to the National Million Dollar Freeroll will each be entered into a nationally televised hole cam tournament that will take place in May at Cesar's Palace in Las Vegas.

Come say hi when you get here, I would love to meet you and good luck.
Joe

Hate to burst your bubble, the reason why the WSOP does so well up here in Chicago, Louisville, Tunica are because all the places that surround those places, the only thing that surrounds Palm Beach is water. Do not expect too much.

Who wouldn't want to come to Florida during one of the coldest times in the midwest/north?

Spring Training will be cranking up as well and The ST.Louis Cardinals/Florida Marlins Facilities is 20 minutes from the poker room (Jupiter,FL). You can catch a game at end of feb/beginning of march. http://stlouis.cardinals.mlb.com/spr...e.jsp?c_id=stl

Plenty of non poker related things to do down here. After you win the main event you can drive an hour and watch Lebron and D Wade play Dwight Howard and the Magic on March 3. http://www.nba.com/heat/

Great beaches, great shopping obv. No snow shoveling FTW !

Have to twist my arm to go here lol ^^^^^^^^^^

With all due respect, this is about the most ignorant statement I have seen on these forums in a long time.

Take care,

Noah

I could throw a poker chip from one of the tables and hit the runway.

There are things to do in Tunica and Louisville besides play poker? I honestly thought that was the boonies!

I guess that also confirms why Foxwoods does so well.

I think he means like 200-300 mile radius is alot of people. Yea nothing to do in Tunica except go to the casino, unless you go to Memphis.

Look I understand that this is your room and upset that someone comes in here and says that the tourney will not do so good, im just saying do not expect the same turn outs that Chicago, Southern Indiana, Atlantic city are getting. But when you get record breaking numbers you can say I told you so.

Hmmm, lets see......walk to and from the airport, the most perfect winter weather in the US, gorgeous beaches, water sports galore, even disney world 2 1/2 hrs North......More golf courses than you could play in a decade, South Beach for night life if so inclined, 5 star restaurants.

Yep, I guess YOU are a genius....who wants to come here??????

Oh, did I mention no state taxes....sorta like Nevada.

Want the Ritz Carlton? Holiday Inn?

We have it all chum....eat your heart out.

I'm sorry where in my posts did I say there was nothing to do there and that no one would go there? Parisron understands what I am saying.

By the way, how many 340$ buy in players can afford all that you just said? Flight 400$
Hotel for a couple nights $200 to $300 assuming your not staying motel 8.
Couple tournies $700.
Golf $80 to $100 per round for the good courses you said.
Night life in south beach easily $100 to $200! Most players that travel the circuit in the Midwest events play the first two events and after that the numbers in the tournies drop off big time.

I actually hope it does well, I am going down, I am just being realistic.

You are a stubborn as a mule, WPB just has about 6 million people in just over a 1 hr drive. It is the 7th largest Metropolitan area in the country (Dade,Broward & Palm Beach). Have you ever been to Atlantic City, it is in the middle of no where. AC to NY is over 2 hrs. Also you have to add in the snow birds for the WPB area, population almost doubles in some areas just north of the kennel club.
Noah, I hope you don't offer this guy lunch.

Well here you go, Chicago has a metro of 9.5 million. including a ton of towns with in a few hour drive, with in 4 hour which people do. Then you have Atlantic city, 2 hour drive is NOTHING from NYC, Metro is 19 million, not to mention all the Towns outs site of that metro which adds a bit more.
So 6 million is meh...... I guess I am stubborn but I am just guessing if chicago got around 1400 for this event PBK will get about 600 to 800, my whole point is that they will not see the same numbers as past tournies. But If I am wrong then I win.

Oh the metro area of PA, NJ, MD and DE is about 6 million and ahead on your list of Miami area, then add the 19 million of NY on top of that.

Hey all, was planning on coming down to PB and spending a week there to make sure i like the PBKC casino and the area and may considering actually moving there. Was wondering what my best option is for staying somewhere within walking distance of PBKC as I will not be renting a car since im under 25. Also is anyone interested in making a poker house in palm beach area or what would be a decent place to rent an apartment near the PBKC? Thanks.
