the night game is prolly looser then the day game, you should have 3 or 4 games to choose from on the weekend. 200-500 buy in

thanks...i was going to go down in the late afternoon and play all night....its way way closer to where im staying than hard rock...are the games softer at PBKC than hard rock on average or no difference? I thought with WPT at hard rock tomorrow maybe itd be worth going there, but Id rather not drive an extra hour and change round trip....thanks in advance...i'll most likely be at PBKC tomorrow in khaki shorts and golf shirt unshaven grinder

Well I went to The IP in Biloxi 2 weeks ago and they got 270 runners for the $1600 main.

I say Palm Beach gets over 400.

Congrats to Noah and the team at Palm Beach!

Thank you Will and Typical. This is awesome news for Florida players and Florida poker. Great things continue to happen at the Palm Beach Kennel Club's "Poker Room". Having the World Series of Poker in partnership with the PBKC allows us the opportunity to reach for levels never imaginable just a couple of years ago, both nationally and internationally. Lots of work went into this behind the scenes, and the entire team at the PBKC deserves a lot credit. Now get your game faces on because satellites for the WSOP events are about to begin.
Good luck to everyone.
All the best, Mojo

Thanks for the kind words everyone. The Palm Beach Kennel Club is absolutely thrilled to be hosting the WSOP Circuit at our facility!! I have been a huge fan of their product for many years and always looked to make a trip or two each year to attend.

This event will be done in such a manner that Florida poker will never be considered an afterthought!!

The satellites will be starting in December so be sure to keep your eyes open for them.

If anyone one here has a question or suggestion, please let us know. This is our first big series and we welcome any ideas on how to make it a memorable one!

Take care everyone!!

See you in February!!

Congratulations guys.

Jimmy Sommerfeld and his crew are world class. Add that to another classy staff and classy location and this should be a giant hit.

Just as a suggestion. Not sure if Harrah's allows this or not... but you guys should try to get your hands on tournament buy-in chips that the WSOP/C always has as early as possible. And pay-out your megas or sng's with them instead of just main event buy-in slips. This would allow for bigger fields on all events and more participation in satellites, I believe.

Yankee Grinder,

I agree about the buy-in chips. When I travel to circuit events the first thing I do is play the single tables and try to accumulate tokens for buy ins.

We will be starting these ASAP!.

Take care,

Noah

Phoenix Had a very productive meeting today to refine the WSOPC event schedule. It's shaping up great and should have the complete schedule available by midweek.

I can only wish for a Omaha 8 or HORSE event on the WSOPC schedule. There are some people that do not play NL hold'em.

Ausales,

You are in luck. I'm with you in not playing NL Hold'em events. As a matter of fact I travel to WSOP Circuit events to play H.O.R.S.E. events.

We will have both.

Take care,

Noah

I am planning a trip for next month to the PBKC and had a couple of questions:

1) What is the rake structure for the no-limit games?

2) What are some hotels that are close by?

Thanks

I went home for thanksgiving and played at the dogtrack as i usually do and it finally hit me that the rake is horrible. I would raise the button and take the blinds and get $1 back out of the $3 from sb and bb. Noah, you really need to fix that. Ive read so many complaints about it and it hasnt changed? 2 dollar rake with no flop? come on. I then went to the Isle and that place is amazing. Ill probably be going there on holiday breaks from school from now on until you guys make the dogtrack better. You could learn a lot from what they do.

Currently the rake is 10% of the rounded off pot (max $5) Ex. pot $23 = $2 dollar rake, $27 pot = $3 rake. Unfortanately there is a drop if there is no flop. Your are allowed to chopped the blinds in the 5/10 and higher games.

There is a Holiday Inn less than a mile east of the track and a Best Western a little closer. Thats all I can think of off hand thats close

Your gonna have a hard time convincing him because the track and the ilse run neck and neck with rake dropped.

Although losing players may make him consider, he is always good about listening to players input and I am sure losing players is not on list of "to do"

And by neck and neck with rake dropped, I assume you mean in total poker revenue right?
because the rake is nothing alike between the 2.

where does the poker revenue come from then, and unless they have changed it, it is identical. I havent been in a while so i may be wrong.
