Never heard of one. Call them and ask.

I believe they don't.
But doesn't hurt to call and ask.
Little slot play and some table games should get you offers 3 months after

Called them up. No poker rate. Just Casino rate, which for my week isn't any sort of discount.

Any idea how many players they average? What sort of payouts can be expected for the Tuesday evening $80 PLO tournament?

I was there last night, seems to be average 50 runners or so, with $1000-$1100 up top.

Thanks, I'll try and get out there one of these Tuesday nights!

I'm heading to Las Vegas in late September and looking to play in some Omaha/8 tournaments and saw that the Orleans Casino has some. Do they get many entrants for these?

Steady numbers, I’d say it can vary from 30-70 players. All dependent on time of the year.

Can players reach Sapphire and Emerald just from playing poker here? Or do you need to play slots?

You couldn’t before, but now that they’re launching a whole new rewards program where all tier points and comps are all combined into one, might be a good question for their players club.
I’m going to ask them after the launch on Monday the 27th...
I’m Emerald and overheard about some comped trips to Hawaii and Caribbean and some cruise trips that certain tiers can claim. I want my free cruise beatch!

Out of curiosity, where was your play that got you Emerald? I've played some VP there and it seems like the points for the higher tiers are hard to accumulate compared to making Diamond at CET.

All video poker on multiplier days. They have 11x one day a week on video poker and 6X on slots. Or maybe the numbers are the other way around. But yeah it was all video poker and multiplier days.

I tried vp on one of the multiplier days. It didn't seem like I was getting many points. Maybe I was on the wrong kind of machine or I was expecting too much.

Do you get much out of Emerald? I know you get the special parking area and buffet discounts.

BTW, more comps often includes fewer full pay machines. Hope that doesn't happen.

Emerald used to be able to jump the line on the poker waiting lists. I don't know if that's still the case. Given how long the lists can be at certain hours, I could see this as having tremendous value.

The new tiers and the number of points needed to reach them: Ruby (0-749), Sapphire (750-14,999), Emerald (15,000-49,999), Onyx (50,000-199,999) and Titanium (200,000 and above).

"Once you have achieved Sapphire status you will start earning B Connected Points for your play. B Connected points can be spent on all the things you enjoy."

So basically at the base card level of Ruby, you don't earn any comps for any play? Do you generate any tier points for time at the poker table?

If you don’t earn comps for base level that’s ridiculous.

I noticed that too. Would be pretty disappointing if you get zero poker comps for Ruby and only $1.25 an hour for Sapphire.

Well that would certainly cement the casino's status as a locals joint, no tourists wanted.

I don't understand all this about points and such, but I have the base level card and I earn restaurant comps for playing poker, about $1.25 per hour.

I haven't been playing much at all lately, but I do sometimes play there, mostly 8/16 or 15/30 O8.
