No, guess they're doing separate promotions for that game, like splash pots. Saw on screen last night

Sounds like nit heaven. Low limit nits really hate it when someone shows up and starts raising PF, making it twice as expensive to see the flop. Now they can see the flop for free and if it checks around, see the turn for free. And if someone does bet the turn, they can go from PF to the turn for just one small bet.

You can see the flop with your KK, JJ and AK for free and see if your hand is any good first before putting any money in. It sucks for nits when they raise with KK and an ace shows up on the flop. They won't hate pocket jacks as much either.

Can't remember exact number but Friday's 7 pm tourny got 240+ entries on 07/14/2017. Fantastic number, considering the WSOP was wrapping up.

I noticed they are promoting 8/16 FLHE with an hours played promotion. Is this game finally catching on or is it still pretty rare? Would love to see this go regularly to give more options for limit than the Bellagio 9/18.

It started going every day when the jackpot was really big about a month ago and has continued with the promo. Not sure how long the promotion will last or if the game will survive when it ends.

It's Monday night and they just called a second game and it went and still a list.

BUT, it all might be because of the extra business due to the BBJ

On my next trip to LV I decided to stay Orleans for a week. What the hell I like there Friday tournament. Always before stayed the strip or maybe downtown. Is this mistake? Maybe a week to much. I can change if this was bad.

It might have started because of the BBJ, but the last time it got hit, the game kept running afterward.

At least the resort fees are lower, and it's low stress. There are movies, cheap food if you want it, expensive food if you want it, and bowling. There are remodeling upscale bit by bit. I liked it more before, when it was more blue collar.

Not only did it keep running, they never missed a day. Looks like it might have traction.

Yep, that's at least part of it.

Of course right now it's the last day of the weekly promo for the game they are suposedly promoting, there is one table going and with 20 people on the list they still aren't starting another game. Not exactly promoting it, IMO.

I am sure to enjoy the property, butt agree with you about liking the old stuff better. My only worry will be giving up those amazingly good games found on strip. Hopefully there will be good action heretoo.

It's not like the Strip is on another planet. There's a free shuttle to the High Roller.

Yes, I'm aware of that. But it's really convenient to play where you're staying, especially if you wind up in those late late late night sessions like I often do. There's no shuttle running then, and all you wanna do is go upstairs and crash.

Anyway I am committed to giving the Orleans a good shot, both tournaments and cash. Part of the attraction is the variety of games. Part of it is to do something a bit different.

Orleans generally has more games going late at night than any other place in town. If you like their game options, playing until you want to crash should not be a problem.

Yes, I've been following on bravo, and it looks great from thousands of miles away. And the chance to play tourneys including Horse, Omaha8/Stud8 and the classic Friday night is a big motivator. And gimme that slight sense of sleaze over the strip any day.

But there's something magical about what happens when the nightclub lets out at the MGM, or anytime really at PH it's shooting fish in the barrel. It's rough to pass up the easiest games I'll see all year. Of course, I won't, not totally.

Also, thank you two local guys for responding it's very much appreciated.

There's been one or two games in the day and two games going every night for at least a month and there's three games going right now on a Sunday at 5pm. Looks like it might last.

Does Orleans have a Poker rate? Going out mid March. Going to play some O8 here. Wondering if I can get a good rate to stay. My week rack rate is in the $100 range here.
