Maybe opening in a few months with poker?

Good news for Toronto but remember that great canadian casinos are some of the worst raked poker games in the country.

I don't know if they are having poker as the wording is very vague on gaming offered. Supposedly the casino will open on the 5th of June according to a bartender I talked to. The upstairs area that was the high limit room is now permanently closed as the table games have been moved to the new casino.

Well so much for that as I went to the website for the new casino and there was no mentioning of "Now open" or of course poker. The website mentions a rolling jackpot total but that has to be for a table game jackpot.

It seems like the website is hinting for an August opening. That makes more sense to me as when I talked to the bartender the new hall didn't seem close to being finished and the new roads to the casino seemed like they still needed to be paved and painted with less than a month to go before the phantom opening.

Casino opens Tuesday, June 20. No word yet on poker, of course. Lots of questions on their social posts. Crossing 10% of my fingers to max of $15 per hand.

Do you still have to tip dealers in Canada? because then the rake I hear about in Canadian casinos might not be so bad.

As of 7pm~ tonight I saw roughly 10 tables from afar, couldn't get a picture though some security guards blocked me.

I see they have classic roast beef sandwich

do u know what stakes were running? I wonder if its first come first serve for opening tables, bcuz that pretty much guarantees they will fill with 1/3 in the morning and then never open bigger games.

This is bullshit **** GCG. The day GCG properties closed for covid rake was $8. The reopened and doubled it to $15. Now they want $20 to play in this shithole with an exel spreadsheet for a list. And buzzers that Rama used 20 years ago. This shithole doesn't care about players, they had no intentions of ever opening a poker room with th new casino it only happened because enough people lobbied for it. So basically GCG said sure well give you a poker room, upstairs outside the casino and put you away from all the high rollers on the casino floor and also raise the rake $5 more than all our other properties.
I'm personally staying loyal to Niagara, they're the only ones who didn't raise rake post covid and actually care about the players. GCG and woodbine can **** right off and this is 20 min from my house and I don't care. **** this place.

For all that is wondering. More than a full buyin is going down the drop every HOUR at the lowest limits. If the game is sped up, a full buyin at the 2-5 level is going down the drop. Why don’t y’all save some time and just give the casino your fun tickets?

Ironically Cleveland has jack casino which has a beautiful poker room.
