No, you won't find people with $200 at $2/$5 limit. Typical stacks are $100.

Brantford speads limit games exclusively. $2/$5, $5/$10, $10/$20 and $20/$40 are what you'll find most of the time.

In my experience, you won't find limit games in Niagara Falls. Fallsview spreads $2/$5 NL and $5/$10 NL primarily, with a sprinkle of larger games, satelittes and tournaments.

Casino Niagara has only $1/$2 NL.

I can't speak for Seneca on the American side, but I believe they have both limit and no-limit action.

got slowrolled by a guy, wanted to say, "nice slowroll *******" but said gg and patted the table.

This asian guy kept asking me about my hands and I just didn't even look at him showing no emotions.

I like what I see... playing over 40 hours in Niagara 1/2 NL i can definitely say this is more soft and a great place to build a roll if I'm patient enough...

I will be back... with a vengence... -$50 i just like how its a 35 min drive as opposed to 1hr 30 min to the falls.

This is a story that results from a combination of awful rules, incompetent staff and shady regulars at Brantford Charity Casino.


Some of you may be aware that Brantford Charity Casino has a terrible rule for picking up players that are away from the table. If you miss the blinds twice, you're out of the game and you go to the bottom of the waiting list. Apparently there are no exceptions, and the floorpersons are either not allowed to use their good judgment, or simply refuse to do so.

I was playing in a full ten-handed game today and decided to take a short break on my big blind. Being aware of the rule, I returned within 5-7 minutes expecting to have plenty of time before my next blind comes up. Unfortunately as I returned, I had just missed the big blind for a second time and the next hand was being dealt. "No problem!" I thought; I'd just buy the button on the next hand.

Given the apparently strict rule, that was not an option. The floorman placed racks in front of me and told me I had to get up. I requested to speak to the poker room manager/person in charge at least three times, but my requests were ignored. I had no choice but to leave the game.

What I had failed to realize when I left on my break was that there was a potentially "desirable player" at the top of the waiting list who the regulars presumably would have preferred to have in the game over me. While I was taking my break and sitting out the orbit, 3-4 of the regular players also decided to miss their blind, making the button go around at least twice as fast as usual. I don't know the players involved and can't be certain that this was a strategic move, but its certainly plausible that it was an intentional move to free up my seat.

As I was leaving, I requested again to speak to the person in charge of the poker room so I could explain why the rule is not only unreasonable and unfair, but also gives regular players the ability to collude to choose their opponents. The floorman refused to listen and simply stated that different casinos have different rules and this is how they do it there; he had no interest in hearing my opinion on why the rule is absolutely awful, unfair, and conducive to collusion.

You misses your blind twice, rules are rules.

"rules are rules" is a poor excuse for having awful rules that can deliberately be exploited by the regulars to screw over other players.

Don't play there then

I'd rather they just change the rules so the experience is better for everyone (except the angleshooters).
