I hear Maggie, a one time low limit dealer who worked in Brantford is now dealing in the Bellagios biggest games. One of the sharpest dealers around.

I remember when she left 3 aces in the tray and we played 7handed with 49 cards.

I was just there for the first time Thursday.
I ran cold in the tourney and then decided to play 10/20. Not bad there. Good dealers. The play was tight until a couple of regulars came in. they tried to push the tourney visitors around. Not happening. I hit two crub flushes back to back and made 500+ in about 2 hours. Ran good, but made some great value bets (if I do say so myself). I actually tagged value betting as a big weakness in my game; but wasn't worried about MUMBS in this room. They'll pay you off here, and also will chase down a flush with an Q, K or A.

Of course they will, majority of the 10/20s are decent players. And then there are some who just sit down with a rack and spew like a champ

I may visit more regularly cause I like how often they have tourneys.
Blue Heron is my fav though. Haven't been there in a while though.

Older white guy with a grey beard. I was there from 3 p.m. till 3 a.m. yesterday mostly on the 20-40, though I started on the 5-10 when I got there (very nitty, as opposed to the 20-40, which was a pretty wild ride).

Three years later and nothing has changed about this, judging from my 3 recent weekends out. Which of course means that when Mark and others are in there 3-betting and capping that you have to gamble it up and that these games can be very beneficial to the bankroll or else very destructive, depending on how you're running. (And also on how good you're post-flop play is, depending on who's sitting at the table.)

And having now seen Mark in action in 2 of these 3 sessions, that leads me to ask: How does he do it? Does he have an unlimited supply of funds? And a passion to share them with others?

Don't know. No Ontario casino is licensed for high-low split games. And Brantford only deals limit.

As well, though they occasionally have an Omaha interest list, it never seems to go.

No, not a lot. I went out 3 times in the last 4 or so weeks, each time I played some lower limits and then moved up when a 20-40 seat opened up.

I had two excellent sessions and then one so bad that it can only be expressed by inventing new synonyms for execrable.

I'll probably go back after I've finished licking my wounds, but for August I'll be playing at the CNE. Will you be there? I'm hearing that a lot of Brantford regs are coming for the new (or at least rumoured) higher limits.
