Went to grand casino last night east of OKC lots of tables but all were 1/2 nl or 3/6 limit. Everyone was obsessed with hitting the bad beat which was pretty swollen so that would be nice. Going to win star tomorrow hoping the action is decent despite being a Monday

The solitary time that I played at Grand Casino everyone seemed to be a drooler. It was either due to intoxication or lack of poker awareness. It was pretty refreshing.

Although 1/2 is no juggernaut arena. I guess that I should say it seemed much more recreational.

I hope Riverwind has good action during the week.

Which room is generally better for NLHE? Grand Casino or River Wind?

They both spread nl daily, seems like grand is busier. Also river wind poker room closes at 330 am although the games normally on life support that late anyway

Playing at the lucky star concho west of okc two full tables of 1-2 five to go pot limit Omaha and one full table of 1-2 nl on a Friday night. Seems like the PLO goes a lot according to the locals and the poker room takes call ins an hour in advance so u can call to see what's going on. Good action tonight

I'm playing at Riverwind right now. Room is comfortable, players are weak/tight and a $13 open is seen as aggressive here. Going to adjust my game when here, but I'm off to a good start.

How have the games at river wind been lately? Looking to start going back up there once a week or so. Better games on the weekends, or are the week days getting action too?

In terms of for purpose of vacation/roadtrip, which area/game selection (2/5), proximity to texas would be better between Choctaw and Winstar?

Winstar. Except for when Choctaw is running poker events, then Choctaw.

Right on point. Winstar is worlds better than Choctaw in every way except for one thing, the seats (much more comfy chairs at Choctaw).

I played in the Hard Rock room on Sunday at it was the first time I was there since they moved the room.

The old room was intimate while the new room was almost too big.

how was the action Doc? Did they have anything besides 1/2 or 1/3nl running while you were there?

I played in a tournament then after getting knocked out I played $1/$2 while waiting on the wife who was still in.

I didn't ask about any other games so I couldn't tell you if they were running anything higher.

I can tell you there were a number of full tables with most of them being cash games.

I’m going to be in Tulsa a few days during the week next week. Are Hard Rock and River Spirit the only real options for NL? Would prefer playing 2/5 or 5/10 but that’s not really an option, correct?

I've been browsing Venues & Communities a bit today, looking for info on poker rooms in TX, OK, AK, LA, TN, MS, AL and GA. I thought that Tunica, MS might be cool, but after reading the relevant thread I have changed my mind. It seems that Oklahoma has several good options, particularly Thackerville.

Can anyone recommend any poker rooms in the other states I mentioned? I would be mainly looking to play 1/2 NLHE, but 1/3 is also fine.

Building on Gambool list

Bossier also has Eldorado
Lake Charles also has Labeurge and Isle. I do not recommend the Isle
Biloxi has the IP and Golden Nugget.
OK has Choctaw

LA, OK and MS all have other rooms. I have not played in the club rooms in TX. Legality of them is still debatable

BTW, Harrahs NOLA is not technically in the Quarter but the Quarter is an easy walk.

Bump for Hard Rock Tulsa info. One of few places I haven't played for WSOP circuit and thinking of going end of next month. I know the entries will be lower then most stops but was wondering
about the Hotel, Cash Games, Casino, anything to do close by ect? Thanks.

I don't see a Hardrock thread unless I missed it... Have to look back through. I see they have Tues and Thursday tournaments. I'd like some info from anyone who has played there also. I heard some WSOP events in August, may stop by and see what is going on. Never got to play when I was at Choctaw Casino in Durant.

There's not a ton to do in the immediate area of the HR there, but it's about a 20-25 min drive to downtown Tulsa and there's plenty to check out there.

I've stayed at the Hard Rock hotel there in Tulsa and the rooms are great, really comfy.

I have a friend who just moved to Tulsa and was interested in playing some NL cash in the nearby casinos. He didn't know anything about them and asked me to find out anything I could.

So I was curious if anyone had any opinions on the games there, the casinos themselves and how they're run, etc. I think he's going to play between 1/2-1/3 and 2/5-3/5. He mentioned Hard Rock and River Spirit specifically; I dunno if there are others in the area, but any and all information on games in the area would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Did anyone type out an answer to this post and just forget to hit send? I'm going to be looking to play tonight in Tulsa. I guess there are 2 options?
