Thanks in advance.

Starbucks in the Trop, Trump Plaza, and the Taj. there are two Dunkin Donuts on Atlantic Ave, one by the Trop, one midtwon.

Most of the other casinos have cafe's. My favorite coffee is at the Borgata, right in the poker room.

I buy my own in NYC, grind it up and brew my own at my place in AC, but none of you are getting the good stuff...

If I'm looking for some company and/or want to have some fun what's the best way to go about it and about how much should it cost me?

It won't cost a lot to have some fun at the gay bar...

The lowest PLO you will find is 1/2 PLO at either the Borgata or the Taj. The Borgata is a much, much more consistent game. It goes most weekends and even some weekdays.

The lowest buy-in tournaments are usually 50+15. The best structures for dailies are Showboat and Borgata. Good luck at the tables.

Speaking of breakfast....there's a place on Route 30(WHP) in Galloway called, TW Howell's that serves up a great breakfast--- awesome home fries, good french toast...everything is fresh, the portions are nice and hearty and they always have a good Special of the day. They also serve lunch and make a dynamite Corned beef on rye and their homemade chicken salads' really good, as well. I've yet to have a bad meal at this joint. That said, though, I do wish the coffee was better.

It's very easy to pass right by the place though---it looks more like a Garden Center from the outside but the inside is real cozy and you can tell it was a house at one time. They have one of those old phonographs outside piping out some pretty cool music and the owner is always outside greeting everyone at the door regardless of the weather. It's a real "Mom & Pop" place.

It's about ~10 miles from AC area.

I'll check it out next time I'm up, preferably when the City thaws out

Good places for breakfast in AC, that I've found, include Billy's on the boardwalk just south of Ripley's Museum. Also, the Borgata has an awesome breakfast buffet, and 6ix at Bally's has a steak and eggs special - served 24 hours - for $7.77 that's pretty good.

Jersey City is as Jersey City does, I will just hit this place on the way down, pancake problem solved.

Believe it or not, I highly recommend the Country Kitchen next to the Trop for pankcakes, several different types of pancakes and syrups, reasonable price. If you want more than that, then its got to be Borgata buffet.

Getrude's on Ventnor Avenue in Ventnor has a great breakfast too, all sorts of various items including pancakes, constantly changing breakfast menu specials, besides the basics. Ate breakfast there for a whole week straight this past summer, never had the same thing twice.

Teplitsky's has a great set of pancakes, its just that I refuse to spend twenty bucks for that breakfast, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me...

I cleared out some of the off topic arguing here, lets keep this thread about AC.

I can't believe I wasn't aware of this thread. Born & raised here, work here, and now live nearby. I read through some posts, here's just my .02 on a few places:

White House subs: If you're not from the area the Formica bread here has really no equal. Grew up two blocks away and I never saw what was so special other than their history, a couple corner delis nearby were better frankly. But, as those are all gone, this is about as well as you can do in city limits. (Certainly a good sub last I was there but a PITA in the summer, better places nearer to home for me)

Steakhouse: Ruth's Chris > Morton's. Morton's is respectable but not the same. (Mrs Gonso disagrees)

Higher End: The Palm at the Quarter. Pricey also but very good. Other good options like Cuba Libre there.

Pizza: There is no longer any truly awesome pizza left in the city, and there hasn't been for some time. Best bet is probably the boardwalk if anything. Pizza King on Atlantic is okay. There's been a huge shift toward lower-cost product and the old Italian shops are essentially gone now.

Tony's Baltimore Grill: Easy walk from the Trop. Cheap, decent pasta type place. Great standby plan for guys trying to keep trip costs down. I don't think it's changed at all in decades as best as I can remember.

Knife and Fork Inn: A pale reflection of its former self if you ask me, I'd say just skip it. Way better options in town for the money.

Los Amigos: Mexican food and bar. My favorite restaurant left in the city. Very reasonable prices, great drinks. Chill atmosphere. Extra awesome in the off-tourist season.

High Point: Has bar. Out on the White Horse Pike & Route 9 in Absecon. Something of a thirty-something white cougar-type dive but not too bad. Food has been good here as long as I've been alive too.

Best coffee: At the AC Expressway gas station a few miles out of the city. Don't ask me how or why. It just is for some reason. I stop for some at least 3 or 4 times a week, try the Hazelnut.

Drive-thru McDonalds in center of city: Avoid, even if it's 3am and you're starving. Food is somehow stale/cold both in rush hour as it is in the off hours, and there's at least a 20% chance bums will be at your car window at any given trip.

Angelo's Fairmount: Also close to my old hood, and never cared for it. Not that it's terrible but it's just really overrated for some reason. Tourists love it though, kind of like the Knife & Fork.

Dock's Seafood - It's been a while since I've been, but great food. Pricey though.

There's more but that's off the top of my head for the moment.

Wow, awesome contributions gonso. I'll be checking out many of those the next time I go up there.

Yeah one of these days I'm going to map out an itinerary with some pictures. I'm here in the city 5-6 days a week, might as well. There really isn't much to cover outside of the casinos so it's not a lot of work.

hang around at a casino bar, and if a girl sits next to you and orders a glass of water and asks you how you did in the casinos your in luck.

Headed down again next weekend.

I've done a search here and on google but I want to know if anyone has a good suggestion on a place to enjoy cigars in AC.
On or near the strip would be good.

Last time we smoked in the Borgata racebook, OK but not really a lounge.

There's a Famous Dave's a little ways down the Expressway near the Hamilton Mall but probably out of most people's way if you're visiting. Food's good enough.

There's a Corky's Ribs in the Trop Quarter, but I've never eaten there and have heard mixed feedback. I don't know that this is really a great area for that sort of food. Can't think of anything else off the top of my head

Trying to find "company" in an AC casino is about as hard as finding a cocktail waitress (they might be a little old and slow, but they'll be around).

As far as price, use this formula

5(x^2) (where x = her 1-10 score).

That's about the minimum you can expect to pay. 3s and below are usually all out crack whores that work off the floor or in PLeasantville or something

The four Harrah propeties have a new Regional President for AC and Cheser, Pa.
He was making noise about improving the Boardwalk and bringing in more concerts.

Any results?
