I found this to be the opposite...The one in AC is below Manhattan...

Bobby Flay is also good for a different type of steak...but if you are in a traditional steakhouse mood nothing better than Mortons

Is there anywhere in Atlantic city that you can go to meet nice single girls who are not hookers looking to get paid and are not there with their boyfriend or husband and what not? Where does one go to meet them? I never find nice single girls at the poker table or out on the gaming floor. Are the clubs the best place for this?

Look for a group of girls one of whom will be wearing a veil or a shirt that says bride to be...usually at the borgata

I saw one one time and they were all drinking from cups shaped like penises.

I dont know if they were nice girls but I bet they would do for the night

The soups are fine. And the fried dumpling were good but in an atypical way.

But the kalbi, kimchee and "sushi" are pretty bad. The sushi is pre-made not-worth ordering. The Korean food is yummy when you first get some in after not eating for 20 hours, but then you realize that it's just about the worst Korean food you've ever eaten (relatively speaking.)

I was surprised to see that the Taj poker snack bar no longer exists. But that Burger place upstairs was pretty good. Nice burger - improvement over the snack bar in that the new one serves burger on a brioche bun, plus you have more choice of toppings (e.g. blue cheese burger etc.)

Good thread idea, Al...

I've found that many of the random pizza places on Pacific are quite good if you go in and order a pie to eat there.

In my experience, the food at Caesar's that you can have delivered to the poker room makes the baby Jesus cry: it is beyond ****ty and way overpriced.

Best part about this place is when you're finishing up a session and the Taj and you're starving, you can order from there and tell them what table you're at. Not much later, the food will come directly to your table and you can head out with with the food.

Head out with it?? Our whole table ordered, lol. We setup shop right at the table.

Those guys are probably making bank. The guy brought our order with 3 others @ like 3:30, then i saw him 3 more times

I hear Trinity in the Pier has a deep-fried burger. I'm looking forward to trying it on my next trip.

The food at the Irish Pub is excellent and reasonably priced. I've never had a bad meal there.

Do I have to present my health insurance card to eat this?

Is there an expereinced heart surgeon in AC, besides those at the craps table?

Can I get my fries prepared with lo-cal oil?

Yum...

Let's not forget Bill's - on the boardwalk just south of the Ripley Museum. Can't miss it - it's the only place covered (literally, as in wallpaper) with money. The 2nd floor is also covered on the outside.

Good food at good prices with fast service.

What's served at Bill's? Is there waiter service there or just counter service?

Waiter.

I stayed at Harrah's the other night and was impressed the place.

Any tips/suggestions on good, cheap food? I'm not looking to spend a ton of money.

The buffett was very good even it though it was a little pricey for a buffet ($60 before tax for 2 people).

When ever I was dealing over the summer and Showboat had some "Male Review" thing there were always a ton of single girls running around.

Food Court by the pool is the nuts.

The cafe (not Reflections Cafe, I believe it's Expressions) has cheaper iced coffee than Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks, a pretty cheap fruit bowl (HUGE grapes, pineapple, blueberries, cantalope, honeydew), and affordable breakfast sandwiches.

Most everything else is in the "steep" range.

I'll agree here. The place can get crowded, but food is good, and a decent beer selection for not a ton of cash.

The Noodle Bar at the Taj is awesome, imo.

The one is the Borg is also good.

White Horse subs are insanely good.

EDIT: The Irish Pub is awesome, too. I finally checked it out last year and it was a fun time and the pub food looked great. A great non-casino place to get a drink.

Emphasis on cash. (They don't take credit cards.)

That's usually not a big deal if you're taking a gambling break though.

There's counter and table service. Its basically a small greasy spoon diner. They kind of skimp on the home fries in their omlette platters though.

I usually wind up at Bill's at some point on my trips to AC.

I am a filthy degenerate. I love expensive food & cheap women. IMO the best meal going in AC right now is Izakaya @ The Borg. Its a Japanese Gastro Pub which translates into small portions and outrageous prices but the food is incredible. I am a Nobu regular in NYC and I think the food is just as good.

I love the Noodle Bar @ Borgata. The menu is slightly limited but they will usually make you whatever you ask for, they have never turned me down for a simple order of chicken fried rice and a wonton soup.

As for the trashy ladies, Borgata usually tops the list but some nights The Trop has a fine selection, slightly younger & more ethnic but equally trashy. There are always wandering crews of chicks running around in various states of inebriation and it is usually quite easy to work your way into a conversation. I have run pretty well @ The Borg but luckily for me if I happen to run into a wall or just too many fat chicks it is just a short drive to Delilahs Den in Pleasantville. It is a local strip club, not like the shady ones in AC and a little bit of money goes a long way in getting the attention of a lovely young lady. I also find that the quality of the pot in AC is pretty bad so if you come from NYC bring some chronic. It seems like every cocktail waitress @ the Borg is a degenerate pot head, as are the dancers in the strippies. Chronic is like what coke was in the Studio 54 days, if you have a good stash it is easy to get laid.

I wrote this somewhere previously.

I only approach the fat ones. Once I am done having sex with them they always got something good to eat in their refrigerator...

Which ones at the Borg are degenerate pot heads? A few leads please. Don't they get screened for drugs on a random basis?

A few notes on restaurants at AC casinos:

-Reflections Cafe, Harrahs Resort: The booths there are probably the worst ever, be sure to get a real seat.

-Metropolitan, The Borgata: Pricey, but good food.

-China Cafe, Trump Plaza: Needs to be torpedoed.

-La Piazza, Caesars: Save your money.

What would you choose then?

Personally, I am going for late night PF Chang's at about 12:30A, they close at 1. Some plum wine and spicy noodles of some sort...
