Best drink value is at the racebook at the Borgata. Each two dollar bet gets you a free drink of top shelf liquor.

So where does the Empire Inn rank on the Absecon grossness scale? The only time I've stayed in Absecon was at the Super 8 which is about at the bottom of my tolerance range.

^^^ You can always check the House of Blues at the Showboat. They have good bands and the Taj has legit acts too. I think Shakira was just there last weekend.

I'll be in Atlantic City for the 2010 WSOPC arriving the evening of 12/3 and departing the morning of 12/12. It seems the best deal I have found is the Empire Inn & Suites in Absecon, NJ (9 nights ≈ $300USD including taxes) . It appears to only be a 15 minute drive to the Borgata/Harrah's so I'm not concerned with not being 'in the city'. Does anyone have any feedback on this joint? I got a lot of mixed reviews on expedia.com, despite getting a 4/5 star rating (lol).

I've been to AC one time, for about a day and didn't get to do much of anything. However I was offered cocaine and xanax when I got out of my car at the Travelodge on Pacific Ave . Putting that aside, I really want to explore the city, visit the other casinos, basically be a degenerate for a week and a half.

I'm a single guy in his early 20's, so even in December and with a decent bankroll there is no way to not have fun, right?

I know the Irish Pub and Ducktown Tavern and enjoy going to both. It's great to find a regular good ol' BAR that's not in a casino every once in awhile.

Chelsea Pub is a decent locals place with low prices iirc.

Tony's Baltimore Grill, pints of Bud are still like $2.25, shots like three bucks. Try the pizza, extra well done...

I'm going to mur.mur in Borgata Sat. night. I need a place to stay just for the night. Might donk around at the tables somewhere during the day. Is it possible to play enough hours get a free or discounted room? Not just Borg, but any casino?
