Called 8/20 to try again for the comped two nights free. Nothing available till after labor day unless I wanted to pay. At this point I'm sticking with the Borgata.

I can't even log in at the kiosk to see what I lost. I think I had 7k points and $70 in comps. I am unable to use the $ comps I earned playing poker.

On Friday, I did call in asking for a comped room but they said they have nothing for this weekend. Maybe that triggered it.

Has this happened to anyone else? How do you think I should proceed?

This STINKS !!!

7K points & $70 in comps.

The offer was that you were good until 9/30/18. They should honor their offer, there was never a stipulation about play as far as I know, and this fellow has points/comp $.

Of course people are going to take advantage but is Qcean surprised by that ?
Their pretty damn dumb if they are.
This is ridiculous.

It says in the fine print in all of these casino loyalty programs that the card is their property, they have the right to revoke privileges or cancel promotions at any time.

If you are showing up every day and abusing the system, I have no problem with the card being revoked. I don't think they should freeze his comps but this issue actually affects me personally.

People just completely taking advantage of the system and trade up program without playing are just flooding the clubs to the point where you can't even get in. To see the place come in dead last in casino revenue but have a black card lounge that is packed to the brim and a sold out hotel every night, it's not hard to imagine what is going on.

I can't wait until the promo period is over.

I do not understand why you think I am taking advantage of anything. I was following their rules as they set them. It's not like everyone who gets a promo offer needs to make more money for a business. Why should I be penalized for following their rules?

Additionally, the poker room is... very weak. One would think that they would throw some decent incentives to people who play there. My 35(?) hours is not nothing. (Not that they would know this, but I'm one of the people willing to start new tables and play short handed.)

I do not remember how many times I used the lounges. I would guess 10-15 times. They couldn't be loosing that much money on the pretty skimpy selection/no redbull/etc.

So true, the Ocean Resort rushed to match the opening of the Hard Rock but came to the table with a lack of the amenities that A.C poker-players are in pursuit of, high hand jackpots, bad beats or tier point multipliers, the smoke and mirrors will fade after the summer season as the poker games don't generate the rev to keep them going. There is no poker mgr listed cause there is no poker room, remember when the Hilton had a few tables on the floor after the room up stairs closed.....read the righting on the wall.

Now more than one player has spoken up about being cut off at the premium clubs and lounges, I'm not all for camping out for a bowl of soup or a snack, but like a can of cat food on your porch at night they will be there tomorrow for that freebee, weigh it out.

Just returned from a few days in AC. Used my comped rooms at the HR, but played mostly at Ocean. The B offered up a generous boost to play a little and maintain status, so I made sure to get a couple of sessions there this trip.

Saw the same few guys there, wondering if any were 2+2ers. I was there on Monday for a session from around 2pm to 9:30. Then back from 11:30 - 2am.

On Tuesday, it was a short night session, from around 9pm - 11.

If you were there at the same time, please reach out to me (PM or on this thread). I try to be discreet about 2+2, and only chatted up one guy quietly. He knew about it, but sounded surprised that there was an Ocean thread (new and small numbers). He was either not on this thread, or wanted to remain anon. If you want to remain anon, I'l simply say thanks for the pizza and the burger was great.

I'm the MAWG, usually with some Giants gear. When I take breaks, they are almost always cigar related.

I dig the room, would prefer to stay/play there, but last time I called there were no more Aug or Sept comps, and the discounted rooms (email) weren't available either.

Regarding the people cut off. I chatted up one of the regs, a guy who says he has lots of hours, points, rooms etc. Said he never heard about anyone getting cut off. Again, either not on this thread, or prefers to stay anon. If you want to remain anon, thanks for the laughs and keeping it fun.

The irony in this is that just 2 weeks prior I had no trouble booking my 2 nights and they gave me Friday and Saturday night.

With the unofficial word that Hard Rock poker room will open later in the year, I will just wait to give them my poker business. The HR lounge is so much better, the rooms are also pretty nice, and casino floor doesn't feel like a dungeon. I don't do any casino games and all the memorbilia is at least a bit entertaining.

I called yesterday and was told by the poker room thaty they don't offer poker room rates no matter how many hours played. Makes it hard for any fresh money from out of state to come there to play.

Guess I'm stuck staying at the Borgata with the same old men/stale players.

Tom Gitto, former manager of the Taj poker room is their poker room manager.

Maybe he doesn't have the power to offer incentives to players. I fly in from out of town and refuse to pay $200.00 a night for the right to spend 16 hours a day playing in their poker room.

Besides Borgata, where you need a black card to get a decent room rate (being from clear across the country, makes it hard to attain/maintain), does anyone know of a decent room with decent poker rates for their hotel?

I've been playing at Foxwoods, 2 free nights a week and decent rates the remainder of the days. I fly in for 7 nights, get four comped and pay the other three.

The Taj would give you a great room rate if you played so many hours per day during your stay. I wonder why Tom Gitto isn't at least offering that incentive. It would get more players from out of state to come play/stay.

If anyone knows of a decent poker rate for a room in AC, please reply. Thank you. And please, Tom...get us a decent room rate like you did at the Taj.

Gitto is not pulling the strings. Not in charge of anything. Just a name.

"Unofficial" is the key here. Before they opened, I heard from a couple sources that they would DEFINITELY have a poker room. We see how that turned out. If they were going to put one in, wouldn't they have done it during the initial construction? What could the reason be for waiting? I'd love to see one there but I have my doubts.

I have my doubts too and at the end of the day there is a very limited pool of people who play poker. Starting a new poker room is not going to magically increase that pool of players by much.

Since poker is not a priority, I figured they focused on actually getting their main operations running well, instead of doing a little bit of everything half assed.

borgata gives out free room for poker.
it has nothing to do with your tier status.
