Hit a high hand today Quad 6s thought this was enough for meal or some slot dollars but no avail, the floor told me I won the pot. I'm not sure Ill see you after the card wears out although I love the sports book.

The "n" word was thrown around from both sides, they were both yelling at each other, the security guard challenged the player telling him he gets off in 1 hour, etc. Some of the higher ups were present because this is when they were collecting money boxes/etc but did not say anything.

I'm not surprised how the player acted since many people lose their temper and say stupid things, especially if they are losing. What really surprised me is how Oceans security guard responded.
WOW. No good reason for that. I can't think of any acceptable reason for a security guard to act that way.

Supervisors collecting without additional security? Additional security with collections, but not getting involved or calling in more reinforcements? Bad plan, IMHO.

So what was the end result? Hoodie removed? Player escorted out? Settled in the parking structure in an hour?

Hoping that there are enough players to stick around after promos reset and keep games going, and the area going. I'm a casual rec player. I go where the rooms are least expensive (and where my wife it willing to go). I can't be that different than other casual recs. If ORC wants to keep a poker room, they're going to have to find a way to get poker players good comps (after Sept 30).

Then again they don't take out $2 out of every pot that you win like Harrahs/Bally's do, so you win more money on the actual hands that you win!

There were two security guards. The second security guard might have been there for money collection and he was trying to calm both the player as well as his fellow security guard.

The player in question got even more angry and volunteered to be escorted out, which he was.

I'm putting in some hours here in the hopes of getting some comped rooms but the more I think about this, it makes less sense. I'm basically playing now with the hopes that something will materialize in the future, which it very well might amount to nothing.

At Hard Rock VIP check in, they said Hard Rock will definitely get a poker room. No dates or details, yet.

Tried twice to visit this place for poker using a comped room during the week. Both times told they have no comped rooms left. Past tues night said I could have a room for $315. I never have this issue at the borgata. Was hoping this place worked out as I like to visit the boardwalk once in a while on my poker visits but its not looking good.

We are offered comp rooms here, but Monday to Thursday only. We strictly play poker only.

I hope they don’t get rid of the poker. That would be disappointing. I’ll be there over Labor Day Weekend.

Just received email 6x tier points and 2x comps every day in September for all. Everyone make the push for black lol.

We earn 60 tier points per hour at 1/2. Because of 3x promo going on right now, we are earning 180 points per hour.

With 6x promo, we would earn 360 points/hour. To reach Black 75k, we would need 209 hours of play in September.

That is 52 hours/week. It is certainly doable.

The question is, does the Black card mean anything aside from lounge access that is inferior from Borgata? Just because we get Black does not mean that there is even 1 comped room waiting for us as poker players. (As far as I can tell...)

Additionally, if they are desperate they might give away rooms to far lower statuses anyway.

Do I have this situation roughly correct?

How long does the status matched black card last for?
Ocean Resort and Casino (Atlantic City, NJ) Quote

Black card status lasts
Until the end of September.
If you play 200 hours in
September
(& there's any justice
In the world)
you'll get a
Room offer for any 2
Of 7 days
A week in October and
Other perks.
(I got a room offer for
7 days a week in August
and September. Only got
Sunday to Thursday
In August
despite
The offer. But in September
I got the first 8 days
I requested.)
Borgata regs should read
dc_publius comments from
8\8 before playing 200 hours
in September.

I wonder if I make a day trip there, show them my Total Rewards Platinum card when I sign up and play several hours of $1/2 if that would lead to a room offer materializing? What does the thread think? Anyone from the Ocean can feel free to PM me too.

Headed down to AC. Probably late Monday, will play Tues and Wed. May or may not always be at Ocean. Used comp nights there already, none more in the system for me this month. Staying at HR (tier matched comped nights).

Any 2+2ers going to be around? Would like to put faces to screen names.

Tier matching is easy.
TR Plat should give you
GOLD
$99 Sun–Th
$149 F–Sat

They don't book rooms at the Casino, you have to call. Weird, but that's the way they roll now, or at least the last time I checked.

With the computer system issue, I doubt same day play will get you that night, but maybe someone could get that done for you?

If you get to the Hard Rock first, they will give you
$50 Bonus Free Play
One complimentary night (valid Sunday - Friday)
One Complimentary Buffet at Fresh Harvest Buffet
Two complimentary tickets to Howie Mandel’s Comedy Club

Unsure if you have to call, or if you can show up, tier match and visit the front desk.

Wow. They shut down my account.

Today I went to the lounge and they said there is a hold on my account and I need to go to card services.

At card services they said that *I eat more than I play and management locked my account.*. If I play more, they might unlock it.

I can't even log in at the kiosk to see what I lost. I think I had 7k points and $70 in comps. I am unable to use the $ comps I earned playing poker.

On Friday, I did call in asking for a comped room but they said they have nothing for this weekend. Maybe that triggered it.

Has this happened to anyone else? How do you think I should proceed?

I wouldn't pay for a room to be honest. If I didn't get a room I would pay for something cheaper or make a day trip. But I appreciate that information!

Oh, I wouldn't even want it for the same day. If I get a room it's got to be planned in advance so the wife and maybe kid can have a home base while I play cards. I have no problem playing without one and getting an offer later on.

You're the second person to tell me I should hit the Hard Rock first. I may do that although I don't generally do anything than poker and they lack a room.

Thanks for the post!

I would first check if I got
All the earned comps and
Tier points from your poker play.
I would then file a complaint
With the office of the
Attorney General concerning
The locked up comps.
Denying you food is one thing.
Refusing to give you
Earned comps goes outside
The boundaries of a civilized
society.

I just can't stop laughing when I read the posts in this thread. Lol

Any more news about whether or not this room is even going to remain open?

Tommy's name has been missing from the front of the Bravo page for some time now.

Where's fishtails when we need him??? Lol

Bad beat jackpot boxes
Which is suggestive
Of starting promotions
Not closing the room...

Shut out all the riff raff and crumb bums. Fine by me. Reward the players who put in the hours on the tables and sometimes in the casino. With all the points promos you should have no problem being in the 40k-60k point range already like myself and others in this thread.
Points are very easily accumulated as well as the comps. Have $200 in comps, and have spent close to $500 already on good food and coffee.

According to Bravo - Currently at 1:50pm - on a Monday - in the summer.

0 Live games going on.

5 names on the 1/2 list (who knows if they are in the room - or if they put there names on the list and went elsewhere).

0 names on the 2/5 list (or any other list).

Even Golden Nugget has 2 live games running currently.

Why would people want to try to get points and comps when there are not games to be played.

Others in town do offer points, comps, rooms and food - and have all sorts of games 24 hours a day - 7 days a week.

What happens winter time here - if games can't go off during the summer afternoon ?
