I went and lost $2.10 last weekend on their slot machine. This month they gave me $20 free slot dollars. 1000% ROI?

It is not how much you lose, it is how much you wager. If you put in $20 into a machine and play a 20 minute breakeven session making 200 $1 spins and cash out for $17.90, you are a bigger player in their mind than somebody who put in $100 and lost it in 120 $1 spins. Capiche?

Got free luggage and a free blender from Ocean this past weekend. Based on the comments about the food processor, I was afraid the gift pick up was going to be a long process. Was actually very easy - 5 minutes waiting at a kiosk to print a voucher and then it took no time to pick up the gift itself. Good to see Ocean improved things somehow.

My wife plays slots and has $200 in free play nearly every day this month. New owners are pumping out the rewards.

can you get free stuff like luggage from only poker play or you need to play slots and other games?

You can get them from poker only.

An ominous development
Is that poker players have
Not been receiving tier
Points for at least the past week
Or two. Without tier points
You can't get free rooms
Or advance to the next card
Level, - cutting poker players
Off from free rooms,
is one of the
Things casinos do in July
and August when they
Can sell hotel rooms.
In The Summer poker players
Become persona non grata,
But fear not,
in September we become VIP
& the hosts
Will be knocking on
Our doors and calling
3 times a day...
just an annual ritual.
So just don't ask about
Free rooms for poker players
In July and August and tie up
All the Atlantic City brick and
Mortar threads...

Yeah, I took advantage of the last offer for a free room literally the last day I could in June and don't expect to get another offer until the fall.

Are poker players still not seeing tier credits on the kiosks? Will this ever be fixed and how will they know if they have been screwed or not??

Bravo is showing some new stuff for June, but it's kinda vague. Where is dipce??? We need the scoop! Lol

That's because it's been updated now! The other day it just said "more info coming", so maybe you hadn't seen it when I made that post!

Plus, I just love reading the paragraph challenged posts of the infamous dipce!

The rakeback is more generous than ever, but it's weirdly more nonlinear than ever. It used to be about $3/hour for up to 130 hours and less for the last 70 hours, but now it breaks down to:

$4/hr for the first 50 hours
$5/hr for the next 30 hours
$3/hr for the next 50 hours
$1.43/hr for the last 70 hours

Lol I'd like to imagine that the intention is to discourage nitty old men chasing the marginal hour after hour ~80 ... will be interesting to see if they change the structure after summer.

It is a good move. The idea is to attract some more casual players. A casual player is fully capable of playing 50 hours, while 100+ hours in a month is only realistically accessible to a local reg.

Got a hotel question. How is the quality of Wifi? And are any particular floors (like low floors for example) better? Want to book a couple day trip to both play live 1 2 & 2 5 (if that goes) in the live room while playing a few WSOP tourneys online. However, if the internet is not really consistent, then I'll need to go with one of the other hotels. So would appreciate a tip in that regard.

Cashback is amazing for June:
1/ 50 hours = $200
2/ 80 hours = $350
3/ 130 hours = $500
4/ 200 hours = $600

Also my promotions for June,
And hotel offers are better
Than expected

FWIW I'm going to be trying to work on the hotel Wifi next Friday, so hopefully it's good!

2/5 rarely goes, but weekends have a chance for it.

Are you getting weekend offers? I put in a ton of time at Borgata and it seems like MGM is starting to squeeze people and not give comped weekends out this summer as much. Last time I went, I put in 66 comp dollars per day (over 2 days) and always average over 20-25 normally. So I play a good amount.

I'm happy to make the switch if they're giving weekends, and I play a decent amount of blackjack, too.

I'm getting Sunday through Friday having played maybe 15 hours of poker and 20 hours of blackjack last month...and today they emailed me and offered one-time-only for tomorrow (Saturday). I also shot the dice once or twice and my gf likes the slots so I had her stick my card in while we played.

Basically I think for the level of action you're talking about you can probably get everything but Saturday at Ocean's pretty easily. I'm trying to figure out what it takes to get Saturdays myself, although I suspect it's going to be for the calendar to turn a few pages (basically be not-summer again).

The only problem is I don't like coming down for day trips from NYC so I like to atleast stay 1 night, and I've never played there except my tier match freeplay a year or so ago when they reopened. So, I'll have to maneuver something. I have two weekends at the Borgata booked this month but in July and August nothing. Maybe it's worth it to hang a 0 if I have no shot at more weekend rooms until after Labor Day and try to get some at Ocean.

I normally play 10-15hrs of 1/2 and maybe 1-2 hrs of $25-$200/avbet BJ per day so I think I may have some luck getting weekends.

Good: Ocean Resort has the best
Cash back, the best promos,
The best comps, the best hotel offers.
Bad: nothing works as advertised,
But the players card staff will
Help you. Last July we didn't get
Comps as advertised, last month
Poker players couldn't verify
Tier points accumulated.
Ugly: The food quality requires
A bottle of penicillin VK every so
Often to clean out the gut. If
Food quality is important
Stay at the Borgata.
-- but the cashback has always
Worked as advertised, yes,
There's that...but this isn't
A Monty Python skit...

Is the buffet at Ocean now open?

Anyone try it?
