supposed to have a wpt event in October but the olg rejected the idea. This year the Fallsview classsic is in February bc they didn't want to compete with the pca in the Bahamas that happens in january. Sattys are
starting next month but someone said it's only for the 5k event.

What are the BI's for the 5k SatLights?

last year that had 10 man sng for $500. they had steps as well but this year i thik theyll have one super satty for 5k event of 500 events (probably like 50-100 seats) if that....but usually the sng ares 500 dollars winner take all.

I've been playing at Fallsview 2x/wk the last few weeks...I know Fallsview has a PAC card but am I missing out on anything by not swiping in? Do they even have a reward/rakeback system?

absolutely not. from what i last heard you get 40 cents an hr in rakeback and it can only be used for buying food there, but im not totally sure about that second part.

edit; i guess it does come in handy if you're at the table that hits the bad beat (pretty sure you need a piece of id and a pac card), or if you plan on playing a tourney, and its good for parking as well. as far as actual bonuses from swiping it for poker, its basically useless tho.

Does either side of the border ever run PLO8? If not we should get it going i think it could be a blast. I know seneca niagara on the american side hosts limit 08 all day friday, I could really see those old nits gambling it up in the pot limit version.

Seriously pissed today, wasnt allowed into fallsview today after my drivers license expired three days ago. I got it renewed 2 weeks ago, I have one of those temp stickers, but left my temp driver license sheet of paper at home. I had about 10 other pieces of id on me, including the super old school ontario health card, and my pac card, they still wouldnt let me in, sigh wtf ..

Just chiming in to say that having played live in casinos worldwide the past 2 years, Fallsview has without doubt the WORST regs ever... the best 2/5 player in Fallsview probably can't beat the 1/2 game in Venetian Las Vegas. And the tourists at Fallsview are basically no better than your friend that you taught poker over a weekend if he's in any way semi-intelligent. The place is a massive fishtank and the way the poker room is run is an absolute joke. The only reason anyone plays there is because of the fish... since nobody would play in the worst-run poker room in the world otherwise.

Who actually runs the room at Fallsview? Is there no transparency when it comes to the managers/tournament directors? We all complain about how bad it's been but is there anyone we know of to even contact and complain other than incompetent floor people who are just following boss's orders anyway?

agreed that running limit and stealing an nl table at fv is a joke. now adding more plo on the other hand...

he was in one of the times i was in there and a reg complained that one of the tvs had been out for a week. guy instantly went ape **** on all the dealers/floor and a new tv was in the next day. completely forget his name though.

Can you guys comment on what the action is like on US thanksgiving thursday in past? Would folks from US come over and play on wednesday/thursday nights? I usually only play on weekends but was wondering if there'd be more players on wed/thurs.

How is the Fallsview Poker Room run badly? Care to give some examples?

I wish I had a big enough BR to play 2/5 at Fallsview. I hear so many good things about it from peers. Instead I'm stuck playing 1/2 at Casino Niagara.

- waiting list management completely ******ed.. seats open up and floormen chatting instead of putting people who had been waiting 2 hours into a seat or 40 people waiting yet floor won't start new tables
- players allowed to threaten other players with violence, berate dealers, use all kinds of swear words, angleshoot, lie about their hand, etc etc and yet when called, floormen will usually do nothing esp. if it's a reg committing the sin
- floor decisions can vary by the person, hour, day, or any variable you can think of.. no consistency whatsoever
- no cage in the room, you must walk halfway across casino to get chips(it will sometimes take you > 5 minutes just to get chips esp. on a saturday night when you line up with slot players at the cage), no chip runners either

I can go on and on but you get my point. I'm not a reg there, but I was in the area for a couple of weeks earlier this year and played nightly. But while I dont know what kind of players you have at Casino Niagara, I would estimate that at Fallsview 2/5, 50% of players during the week and 80% of players on the weekend would not beat the average 1/2 game in Las Vegas packed full of drunken tourists.

I was there today and remember why I hate playing live in Fallsview. Got there at 3pm today and there was 50 names on 2-5 and 15 on 5-10NL. 4 games of 2-5 and 1 5-10. They had one sat table. They said no dealers til 8pm today. WTF? You got three floor guys stoking each other off and no dealers? 6 tables with like 50-60 names??? ORLY???

At least there was football on today. Took me 3hrs to get a seat and I called in before hand. Action is good but this place is run like how I'd imagine a card room in hell would be.

I stopped playing at Fallsview and Niagara for many reasons and now play at Seneca. I also see a ton of other Canadians beside me that are now playing there. It is sad, they could improve on so much there but they do nothing to fix issues.

I'm headed there today for the 2-5 and maybe the 5-10. Any 2+2 guys gonna be there? Should be a nice juicy day considering the tourists. Hit me up if you are. Gonna be wearign an orange tee with a fur jacket.

I've been here since noon, busted the tourney 25th such a waste of time. Three 2/5 games going right now though so that's a consolation I guess.
