The OLG said that. Right in the RFP.

So GCG is not meeting their obligations under the terms of their license. The only question is will the OLG be bothered to enforce it, which is an open question.
If they have the sam clientele as they have had since Fallsview opened, then poker could bring in younger people. The old clientele were literally broke locals and "tourists" from the Niagara region who looked like they needed an oxygen machine on stand by.

Good point think I’ll call ahead, to get my name on the list and to verify they validate parking, if not I might just uber, thanks for the info.

I am there several times per week. Parking is covered with card once your there for 3-4 hours of play. Get card when you arrive, near cashier. With card you can also get $6 breakfast with coffee at CN from 8am-11am daily.

Chances are you don’t need to play a minimum time for parking at CN.. as long as you have signed up once for the card.. just check your mail for the newsletter.. on one page it says you won free parking for the month.

Management said there is a minimum time. You sign in at table. I use platinum card so I never sign in as parking is always free for gold and platinum. If you play 20 on slots it's also free.

Casino Niagara is so dead now.. I was there on a Sat night and they had 10 dollar blackjack going. Now that woodbine has table games. Niagara really needs their poker.

The parking lot at CN is owned by same man that owns Casino property and half of Clifton Hill. Casino gets charged if we don't. So there definitely is a minimum time, as they must cover all people who use the card to exit or to enter VIP parking.

There are 6 tables going now in Poker Room. Upstairs you be luck to find half that many people. Woodbine is hurting Niagara. I hope new group that takes over this summer turns things around. Fallsview has a lot of potential still. If they moved Poker room back there, it would be awesome.

Looks like a ton has changed in this area, im going to be in niagra on vacation, was thinking of playing at 1-2 casinos, any suggestions?

I guess preference is cool/interesting casino and/or cool/interesting chips, and i guess distance, not sure how close these are. Not so worried about how soft it is.

There’s only two poker rooms, Casino Niagara in Ontario and Seneca in New York. I’d say try both, I’ll be visiting both next Friday, also visiting the area.

I don't like Seneca even though they offer great promotions. Casino Niagara has great action games. 1/3 is smallest game. Several regs have had 4k+ cash outs on 1/3. Not uncommon to see 2k pots heads up. I was in one 2 sessions ago. Great game, plays almost as big as Fallsview's old 2/5 500 max game. Bad beat is near 150k now at CN too.

Planning a trip to Seneca Niagra between Christmas and New year.

I'd love any info/input on:
Rake
Quality and quantity of games during this time frame
Any other info you'd like to share.

Thanks frenzos!

I played in Casino Niagra, heres my TR:

The bad (since it all happened early)

-Not a big deal but the Floor was a bit terse/rude, they put me on as a call ahead, then I told them, and they brushed me off, and then my name never got called, and they called open table (its possible I was just still on the bottom of the list, was hard to tell because list was like 40 people long and they were opening tables). Was also a misunderstanding I had (long story, but misunderstanding was my fault) which caused an unnecessarily gruff response.

-Nobody but players can sit in the poker room. Not saying its an objectively good or bad rule, but the Wife happened to be with me so that really sucked and shortened my playtime.

-This entire casino, but especially the poker room is a dungeon. The Bravo app says “the only poker room with a spectacular view of the falls!” I was imagining big open windows maybe next to the high limit room, nope, theres no view at all as beat I saw.

The good

-dealers did great, had no problems as long as I was there

-players were very nice, conversational, really positive atmosphere. Dealers and floor (after initial issues) were mostly as well.

-Game seemed exceptionally soft, especially for a tuesday. Id say maybe 2-3 players who werent complete bleeders.

-PS4/Xbox outside while waiting is pretty cool.

-did some degenning afterwards which was fun and everyone was very nice.

-getting your parking comped seemed easy enough.

-$1 chip is probably my coolest chip in my whole collection. (Although shoutout to Wild West/Ballys Atlantic City) It has a nice little image of the falls on it, and isnt one of those stupid cane/tophat ones.

Overall id say it was a pretty cool casino, id 100% suggest it to any tourist in the area, just dont expect a beautiful view and you wont be disappointed.

i've been creeping CN's bravo lately, there's always 1 guy on the list trying to get 10/25NL going lol.

but it does look like 5/10 and 10/25 run regularly on weekends, and sometimes randomly other days. can anyone confirm? how's the action in these games?

I was at CN last weekend (Fri/Sat) for a couple days and played 5-10. The table turned to a 10-25 after a few hours of play.
Good game, some decent players and some wannabes who must be running hot wanting to play higher.
The value in the room is 5-10 when the 10-25 is running unless a big rec player sits down in the bigger game.
2-5 is always good.

Was at Seneca this Friday. They have an hourly high hand $300 from 6-12. I played prior to that from around 2:30 to 6 or so. Game was as expected mostly 55+years old players, tight weak and passive. I ran well but was able to get paid playing tight aggressive with a few timely bluffs.

Lots of games running $1/$2, $1/$3, $2/$5 started not much after, think the had an O8 $10-$20, later that night I think they had $5/$5 PLO, multiple NL I think up to $5/$10.

In for $200 out for $552.

I think them running $1/$3 might of made the $1/$2 softer.

Left for Friday Fish fry, Koban’s not a bad place.

Played for like 30 minutes after dinner. Lost $160 in a butchered hand after flopping top two with KQ.

I liked the room, no issues with floor or dealers. The regs are kind of annoying but what can you do.

Agreed not bad, not all that far from the casino. Love that rust belt old school vibe.

I am surprised because when I go to Seneca there are usually a lot of fish, even in the afternoons. Never been there on a weekday afternoon though.

Oh the reason why I chirped in tonight..was hearing some grumblings that Woodbine might consider getting poker again with live tables. Apparently they ordered 400 additional tables. No way they can fill that with games like blackjack. Table game demand in Toronto will wane once people get over having it locally.

They could easily have just Blackjack. Nearly 4mil people live in Toronto and then factor in the GTA. Certainly has the demand for more BJ tables. But I hope you're right, poker would be amazing

There is no getting over it. Table games and slots are very addictive. I hope you're right though.

Yeah maybe I didn’t make it clear but except for 1-2 players I didn’t find anyone very good, mostly tight passive, predictable. That being said no huge donating fish. It’s nice to see a drunk that calls everything and has an endless supply of $100s, don’t exactly that but a couple of fish with money on the table would be nice.
