Anyone ever biked around Niagara either on a wine tour or just made their own little tour?

Not personally, but we've bumped into people at Niagara-on-the-Lake wineries on their bikes. Take it easy on a hot summer afternoon, drink as much as you want with no worry of having to drive, it looked like they were having loads of fun.

The drive up along the parkway from Niagara Falls is nice, but is probably too far to bike. You don't have to go far south on Niagara Stone Rd to hit Pilliteri/Josephs and a few others along the way. We've taken Lakeshore as far west as Konzelmann, that was quite nice. Marynissen is close enough to bike to, and of course there's many other spots in between.

I bet if you looked hard enough, you could find a B&B where the owners would even let you borrow their bikes. Would be nice to have a home base to drop off a bottle or two.

Anybody know if Seneca Niagara has been trying to start a 1/3 game. The Salamanca room has it on weekends. If that dead room has it on Saturdays you would think Niagara Falls could have it too??

Ps has anybody seen an uptick of fish with the bad beat at around 180K and growing?

the last time i was at seneca niagara was on apr 29 and there were lots of action that night with 2/4 3/6 half kill limit games 1/2 2/5 no limit games and even a table of 5/10 HOE , not sure if anyone posted this but they also got rid of their 100 max 1/2 game and as for 1/3 i dont think its been happening there but things could have changed within the month

also surprised that bbj hasnt hit yet

There is no 1/3 game and I have not heard anything about 1 starting up. As for fish, maybe a small uptick but nothing crazy i assure you. To be fair though, I play mostly at terrible times like 2pm on a wednesday so the room is pretty dead. That will be changing this month.

it was at 1/2 on table 7. chantal was dealing. from what i heard one guy had 8h6h. other had 55. flop came 557 giving quads vs a straight flush draw. straight flush got there on the river. guy who got the big half was from out of town. don't know about the other. also heard the big winner didn't tip. he going to "come back once he gets the check."

Hi everyone, I am a new person on this forum seeking for an answer. Me and my whole families are planning to visit Canada Niagara Falls Casino to play poker and we are kinda confused about the means of transportation we have to use once we have arrived at the Buffalo Airport. There is an official Taxi Service http://www.buffalo-airporttaxi.com/ at the premises which offered us 75$ USA dollars for 6 people but since we are kinda on the budget we are looking for a less money transportation like Amtrak or Bus if there is any. I appreciate for your time and effort.

That seems like a very fair offer based off distance as well as the fact that the cab has to wait in two border lines.

Travel light, cab to the border and walk across

There is a local bus service that will take you from the airport to "downtown" Niagara Falls New York, it will be 2 dollars for adults and 1 for children under 12. The buses are only every half hour though so you need to plan your routes. If you are taking 6 people around the cab will be cheaper for shorter distances as it only starts at 2.50 on the US side. Once you get around the Seneca Casino you can easily walk across the border and be on the Canadian side in 10 minutes plus the interview. Note you will have to pay 50 cents per person to walk back to the US. Here is the website but it doesn't list a route to Niagara Falls but the airport is on the outskirts of Niagara Falls so the bus drivers will give you the bus to take.....http://www.buffaloairport.com/Ground/PublicTrans.aspx

Ps was the Seneca bad beat hit twice in the last week as I saw on the website it's now 10K? Thanks.

I heard it was hit Lefty yeah.

Anyone got any insight on Fallsview vs Casino Niagara? (Both the Canadian rooms)

Softness, game selection, stakes. Anything really. Where would you rather play?

1/2 is at casino niagra and 2/5 at Fallsview. So really casino choice is dictated by the game you want to play.

Hey all. I'm gonna be in the Seneca Allegany area for Thanksgiving, and I called the poker room to ask what the action is like there.

Woman on phone told me mostly 1/2 NLHE, with some 2/5 sometimes, and she also told me they get an Omaha-Hi-Lo game going every morning around 7:30am. Any truth to this? I'd love to get some higher stakes action if possible. What times would be good to show up for cash games, and what games could I expect? Thanks!

Seneca Alleghany in Salamanca right? I haven't been there in about a year but used to go frequently. Last I heard they were only open Wed-Sun and don't even open till 10am. You were more likely talking to someone at Seneca niagara in Niagara Falls. That sounds like their usual Friday lineup

From what I recall most of the action at Seneca Alleghany is 1/2. About twice a week they get 5/10 going except during times like the WSOP. Tried to start but never saw 2/5 run there. I do believe they used to have an Omaha H/L game once a week but can't recall what day

So a group of my friends and I are trying to go to niagara(Canadian side) for new years and I'm looking for any advice/tips.

We're going for 1 night 2 days (looking at hotels) and want to gamble a bit plus anything else there is to do around there.

Our entire trip will be on the Canadian side...so anything about getting cheap deals, where the good restaurants are at, any cool places to visit in the area, which casino is best, or tips for casino first timers are welcome. Thanks!

Your options include http://www.niagarafallstourism.com/e...-niagara-falls & http://www.wfol.com. Niagara Falls' hotels becomes very expensive on New Year's Eve.

My friends and I usually spend New Year's Eve playing the WPT Fallsview satellites, then going for dinner and watching the fireworks. The casino gives out party hats.

Just like Las Vegas hotels have rip-off resort fees, beware of rip-off fees with many different names charged by Niagara Falls businesses. For example, one hotel misleadingly advertises a low rate then adds almost 40% in taxes and fees! This includes the mandatory 13% sales tax, but adds a resort fee and "promotional fee" then charges another 13% tax on those rip-off fees.

Thanks guys...looking at a few of the deals on wfol now!

Also, does fallsview have a game lower than 200NL and should we call ahead in advance to book our seats (saw this in some other thread)?

If you want a smaller game, Casino Niagara down the road spreads $1/$2 NL. It is only a ten minute walk away. Smallest game spread at Fallsview is $2/$5 NL.

Yes, call ahead and reserve your seats, that way you'll be seated quicker.
