Depends where you are staying. Niagara Falls, Casino Rama, and Great Blue Heron Casino are all outside of toronto in the west, north and east directions. Do a Google search of your hotel address and those 3 casinos to find the closest. However, your closest poker option would actually be Woodbine Casino which have 11 of those PokerPro electronic tables. If youve never tried them, they are worth checking out. Goodluck in toronto!

There are so many better things to do in Toronto than play poker, especially at ****ing Woodbine.

If you are traveling by car you need to get up to highway 427 and Queens Plate Drive. If you are new to the city stick to the highway and avoid neighbourhoods in the area as non residents ie White people that don't look like Eminem have been robbed at bank machines. Some housing projects are by bus routes that lead to the race track from the north. I know this area well as used to take the bus from the route. If you are taking the subway you need to get off at Islington station and take the bus going north. The bus will take you directly to the casino. Note if you take the bus avoid staying past 2am as the bus stops until 6 am. So you will have to take a cab to the nearest 24 hour bus route(in the heart of the ghetto, but relatively quiet). Also note that the same bus does a confusing loop before it heads south back to the station and you may think you are on a bus going north.

I think it will be announced by management on the day. I was there two days ago when they shut down state highways in the Buffalo area and the daily tourney was cancelled. Also the poker room was a virtual ghost town. Even on the Canadian side it looked like some 1950's Sci fi movie where all the people were transported away to mother ship..

They just confirmed to me they will still be holding it

Fallsview is busier due to the World Poker Tour excitement. Employees have been wearing bright blue WPT sweatshirts, so even the table games and slots players have been asking about the WPT. All 17 poker tables were running on Saturday, including three WPT satellite tables. On Sunday, the first satellite already started by 1:30 PM. Even yesterday on quiet Tuesdays, at least one satellite ran.

How many players does the 6pm Sunday tourny usually get? i normally only play cash but given its a Sunday thinking that might be the better way to go. also wish they would raise the buyin of the crazy pineapple tourny. would prolly be a lot of fun to play but them taking 30% off the top is a bit much

I meant the city streets. The casino was slow too as not too many Toronto people bothered to come down by tour bus or drive.

I played it this past Monday. I think it ended up with 47 players. A lot of the players seemed to like it. We ended up chopping it 5 handed but was basically a 4 way chop since the guy 5th in chips only had 2BB left and only got a few more dollars then 5th place money.

I'm going tomorrow to play the $100 PLO tournament they have every 3rd Thursday of the month. I'm hoping they get a decent turn out for it.

Not sure. Where you in seat 1 at table 6? I knocked that person out as we where moving to the final table but I'm pretty sure I had A2 that hand. I think you where at the other table since we heard about someone calling with some crazy hand and knocking a couple people out before the FT. I only made a couple light calls when I was getting the price to call with any 2 (really short stack shoving into my BB)

Was 6 the middle table? If so, I wasn't there. I was the kid in seat 6 or 7 at the 2nd last table. (Not the guy bitching about being knocked out with A5 for like 4 bigs lol

I was the guy with a7 who knocked out the guy a6. He then was bitching about me calling with a7.

Hello to All from the Detroit Community! So thinking about driving out next month for the Western NY Poker Challenge. Can any of you tell me about the turnouts? Also, how about the Satty's? I see there are SNG's and Multi-tables, what are your thoughts? Have played some Heartland Poker Tour events in Michigan and the Satellites get good action. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and Good Luck to ALL----

lol yea. I ended up finishing 4th today in the PLO tournament. They ended up getting 31 people for it which was a OK turnout for a tournament starting at 1pm on a Thursday.

There is a tournament series running from March 21st-March 31st, with a main event of $1100. Satellite launch for this particular series is coming up the first week of Feb.

Seneca released their WNY poker challenge schedule today. Looks ok. They should make the $500 40min levels, and the main 60.

Poker news will be covering 6 events they said.
