Yep I was at the table to the direct right of it when it hit. Quads on the flop, and runner / runner straight flush.

I live in the Buffalo area and have been looking for some home games, are any of these home games bigger games or just a game with your friends/famil?

These games are bigger games, 1/2 NL, 1/3NL 2/5PLO and $140 MTTs. There's a little circuit in buffalo.

Anyone have any info on the monthly 550/1090 tournament at Brantford? What's the usual turnout, does it last one day, how long are levels, etc?

Nash, looking at you

The $1K+$90 or $500+$50 1-day tourney is held on the last Sunday of each month. I think there were around 66 players in the last $550. You get 15,000 chips for all the Brantford "Deep Stack" tourneys. Levels are 30 minutes for the $550, and 40 minutes for the $1,090. I played and cashed in the $300+$30 Deep Stack.

There is an even better $530+$20 tournament on Sunday, July 28 at Georgian Downs with less than 4% rake. More details on all the Ontario tournaments are available in Canada's poker forum, but I don't know if I'm allowed to link to it.

Went up to play this today. Got there at 10:30ish (11am start), was told I needed a casino card. Went to grab that, it took the woman 20 minutes to figure out how to get the machine working. Walked back over, was informed the tournament was now sold out. Cute.

You may want to fill out an OLG feedback form. It was advertised with a prize pool of $50,000 - up to 100 players - and there were more than two empty tables when the tourney started.

I had a similar issue years ago when I first went, filled out a feedback form, so pissed off that I swore never to return to Brantford again. The OLG seems to require management response to customers' feedback, and I got a comp meal to give Brantford one more try. I went on to having Brantford as my most profitable casino by far! Filling out that form changed my bankroll forever!

Meh, it's a 2.5 hour drive for me and it would only be for one tourney a month. Not going to concern myself with it given that I can find other options.

So my buddy and I are gonna trip it out from Michigan to Foxwoods for the WSOPc but wanna stop for a night halfway and play. We are looking for 2/5 and 5/10 games. Could we stop and play at Turning Stone near Syracuse (halfway to Foxwoods) or should we stop at Niagra Falls which puts us further away?

If you go to Seneca you're 7.5 hours from Foxwoods. If you go to turning stone, you're 4.5 hours from Foxwoods

Depends when you leave but if you are going for the start of WSOPc Foxwoods it lines up right with the Turning Stone tournament series, you should probably drive there. They usually have a few 2/5 games (sometimes bigger) during tournament weeks. I'm assuming Seneca is dead all next week

how has the plo game at Fallsview been doing? Last summer it would run maybe once a week and was really good when it ran.

I see a PLO table at Woodbine sometimes, but have not seen even a PLO list in Niagara Falls on any weekend. The electronic format makes PLO ideal at Woodbine compared to paying a session fee for much fewer hands/hour and dealer mistakes.

You definitely want to call ahead. It can be 40+ deep, although I haven't been there in a while

Plo games(5/10) ran often during fallsview classic. Really good games too. PLO games are always good actually lol. Doesn't run these days. Even 5/10nl doesn't run much these days. You can always find plenty of 2/5nl tables at fallsview though.
