Anyone wanna carpool to Woodbine 1 or 2 days a week? Maybe we can set something up. Meet and leave from Fallsview at 11am - Leave Woodbine at 8pm...... something like that.

We could take turns driving, or you could toss me a few pesos for gas.

It's an idea.

Seneca on the surface seems to value the players as they start tables quicker and have more high hand and free satellites to weekend donkaments. All for less rake!!
Plus, slowly but surely, Seneca is improving the condition of the room. Those new chairs that just came in are something I could sleep in compared to the old ones!

Seneca would be the nuts if they got rid of the $100 max 1/2. Absolute waste...sucks being stuck on those tbls waiting to get seated.

Prefer casino niagara's 1/2 just for this reason.

Wait. Are all Seneca's 1/2 tables $100 max, or just some?

Planning a trip there soon.

Just some, but there are usually more 100 max tables then 200 max tables

I would say the ratio is 6:1. (100 max to 200 max) It's tough to find 100 max anywhere around here, but Seneca is the 1-2 100 max hotspot!

Atleast 6:1... really is the only downfall seneca has vs niagara (minus the chairs). You're pretty much guaranteed to be stuck on the 100 max tables for an hrish waiting for someone to bust on the 200 (usually only 1 or 2 of them going).

True. A 50bb game is not my cup of tea, but is extremely popular at Seneca, which is why the chances that they change it are slim to none. Makes sense, from a business point of view. Harder for people to bust quicker...

Tons of idiot donk pushes in the game because of the structure. Some guys understand it others are just idiots that will lose 100 instead of 200. These are the fools that the casino wants to protect. It also has more donkeys the 200 game plays closer to how a 25 NL or 50NL played pre Black Friday. the 100 NL game at times can play like 25NL on Party circa 2003 and at the tightest times like 25NL pre UGIEA.....

Question for locals on the canadian side.. where do you guys like to eat? Seems everything in the block around fallsview is double the normal price.

Right now my favorite is the flying saucer restaurant which the hotel receptionist told me about last time i visited.

Johnny Roccos and Syndicate which are both on lundy's lane very close to the flying saucer are good for lunch and dinner. If you go a bit further down lundy's lane there is a great Chinese Food place "Magnolia" and a Thai place 'Mai Thai' that are great and normal prices.

For the record I have lived in NF's for 12 years and have haven't been to the saucer in 11 years! I am shocked a local told you to go their I tell people to stay away has a bad rap! A much better breakfast place is called "Falls Manor" it's also on LL just before outlet mall on same side.

Hope this help....

I head up there in the coming weeks for business and had a question...
On the US side on a friday evening do they run any 2-5 $500 max games? and if so how many and is there a long wait? I usually play 1-2 $300 max but I see the games here have a $100 and $200 max which I have no interest in. OR is it better to go to the Fairview on a Friday? I am hesitant bc of the exchange rate or is that not worth "worrying about"

Yes they usually have at least one 2/5 500 game going if not 2, last week they actually had a "big" game going 3k min buy and a 5/10 - 1k max game

Call the poker room and check ahead of time what bigger games are scheduled. Lately, they've put a list up several weeks ahead of time, advertising either a 10/25 $2000min/no max game, or a 5/10 $1000-3000 game. As far as what runs on a regular basis, they've actually been averaging 3 or more 2-5NL games on Fridays and Saturdays for the last 3-4 months. Assuming it's not WSOP time, or another big tournament at Turning Stone, Borgata, etc., the Saturday 11am tournament draws decent numbers, which usually leads to some juicy 2-5NL games.

Who was running the board? skinny blonde?
IT sounds like Virginia (short dark haired older latina women) I doubt Joelle would be rude to a non-reg.

I've only run into Virginia a hand full of times ( her shift isn't on when i play)
Joelle has an attitude problem to every one imo. Every time I ask her for something it seems like a hassle. As i said the floor and the dealers all know me ( and a few known my 2p2 name as well) been there since the day its opened I am always pleasant and never rude to the dealers , floor, cage, or desk. So I don't get her problem.

Hi guys,

im thinking about coming down from toronto to play some live. ive read the last page or so but had a couple Qs:

so theres seneca, fallsview, and niagara. would all of these have 2/5 games running on friday or saturday? im think i'd likely drive down early afternoon and play till like 10pm or something, and drive back (probably wont drink anything). im just trying to have some fun, and i dont care about the profitability (reggyness/rake) i just want to have the most enjoyable experience. i saw someone mention parking advantage for one, and also that seneca might be in the ghetto? fwiw i am an american but have a nexus pass--so crossing isnt much of a hassle.

so based on that would you guys be so kind to give me a recommendation?

fallsview. the lowest game they spread is 2/5nl so ull always find a game.
seneca has a good poker room but u may not get a 2-5NL game. main game is 1-2 with 100max. youll have a better poker experience there but the game ur looking for may not run. but because u have a nexus pass it may be worth scoping out and then heading to fallsview if u dont like it.

If you're looking for 2/5+ go to Fallsview and don't even worry about scoping out Seneca. Forget about how well run the room is, the action at Fallsview is miles better.

Seneca has been spreading 3+ 2-5NL games on Friday/Saturday night for 3-6 months now... For a room where the action is "miles better", more and more Canadians are coming over to Seneca. Why? Maybe they don't want to wait 3+ hours for a game, which you won't at Seneca Niagara... Maybe they don't want to be treated like scum, which you won't at Seneca Niagara...

Also, the action on several of the 2-5s, outside of maybe the original regs that start the first of 3, sometimes 4 2-5NL games of the day has picked up significantly over the past several months. Several players that travel back and forth between the boarder casinos have mentioned that Fallsview has been on the decline recently as far as action goes. Do what you would like, but Seneca Niagara>Fallsview/Casino Niagara
