Fridays have plenty of super donks, otherwise the description of tight and passive is pretty much the regulars who maybe bust even or marginally lose. They do have calling stations too who are of course looser and even more passive.

If you play to midnight the type of player changes too as there will be aggro donkeys and bluffers too, especially on weekends.

Anyone know what's happening with the weekly Tuesday and Sunday tournaments at Casino Niagara? Will they be resuming in the new year?

The Sunday tourney is becoming a 385, no clue about the Tuesday tourney.

What is the current status of the Canadian casinos? Are CN and FV both still open, or are they consolidated into one of the two rooms?

I got a post report about something, and trying to figure out if I should close any of the old venue threads and redirect them to the remaining one.

(And I see that the Seneca thread is still just about 10 posts long. So maybe most of the posting action, such as it is, is here in the communities thread?)

CN and FV are both still functioning casinos, but all poker games have been transitioned over to CN. I think they still use FV for occasional large special tournament series events.

Casino Niagara has good cash games, and also good tournaments now. They have tournaments every Tuesday and Sunday. Check their website out, and download Bravo Poker so you can see how many games in room. 1/3 & 2/5 NL games every day. 5/10 NL & 2/5 PLO on weekends, and some Thursdays and tournament Tuesdays too. Seneca cannot compare. Currently today 8:30pm on a Thursday Casino Niagara has 4 tables 1/3 NL & 4 tables of 2/5. Seneca only has 3 tables of the rake building 1/2NL & 1 table of 1/3 NL. Saturday I have seen as many as 24 tables going with 9 or 10 2/5 NL games.

Very interested in this-I don't check the CN website or Bravo often enough to see it, if someone could post if details get posted, that would be super helpful.

October the 24th-28th. Next year will be a different time. That was only time Grand Ballroom was available for this first season.

Do they have a full schedule in the poker room?

So this is going to be an annual thing? Cool. Hopefully in addition to WPT not instead of.

Not sure about schedule as I don't play tournaments, but this will become an annual series along with the traditional WPT, and the new Sun-Tues daily tournaments.

Hopefully the rake structure for these tournaments doesn't stick annually. The 1100 being 921.5+178.5 and the 3k being 2619+481 is very high for those price points comparatively.

Also cracks me up that for years people complained about starting stacks being too shallow for the 1k, they finally upped it this past year...and then this year they just start the blinds at 100-200 so everyone starts with 100 bbs anyways.

Is there a $100 bet cap per street at CN or is that just for smaller Ontario casinos?

That's only at CNE. Casino Niagara offers no limit hold'em. No cap per street.

Whew ok. I am thinking of moving back to Ont to play poker professionally there. Any general comments about the games running? How does CN compare to the games in Montreal?

I heard 10/20 sometimes runs in CN which sounds like the biggest game in the country for a casino..

1/3 is 100-300, 2/5 200-1000, 5/10 500-2500. Session is 7 per 30 min for 1/3, 8 2/5, 9 5/10. Much cheaper than high Montreal rake.
