Yes my plan was to hit one the Niagara Ontario spots looks it'll be the Casino Niagara.

The weak Canadian dollar is a nice plus. That being said when I was 19 it was up to $1.6 cad to usd. Weak cad does mean bad oil prices which hurts me professionally though.

Anyone know what promotions they have going on at Seneca this month? They usually have them up by now. I'm assuming everythings running behind though with the transition to Bravo seemingly imminent

Played at Seneca Niagara a few Sundays ago waiting for a flight. Decent room, chips seemed new, great bad play, crappy felt.

The thing that stood out the most however was the soft play. I've been around poker a awhile and some soft"er"play is to be expected in some spots but it was way worse than it should have been, and the room obviously tolerates it.

Players verbalizing what hands they have before the flop and telling the dealer they are just going to check it down. That kind of stuff but way open about it and every single time it was two or three handed the same regs.

I was only playing briefly and am not one to tap the glass especially when the game was as good as it was other than that but if I was going to be there for an extended period of time I would say something to a floor.

Are the daily tournaments any good at Seneca Niagara? How many people does a standard $100 NL tourny on a monday night get?

Every time I looked, their dailies are rake traps and virtually unbeatable, even worse than the four Rio Daily turbos in Las Vegas.

Ran super card dead, cashed out $124. Lost with Kings on a flop after 3 betting, getting raised large on big flop size bet of A K and rag. He showed AQ which was nice.

Game wasn't to bad but just no cards. The raking $3 out of every flop regardless of size is brutal.

Mods if this content is not appropriate for this thread feel free to move. Figured any content is good content.

Also need to know if Louie's is better than Ted's?

Also anyone recommend a good place for beef on weck close to downtown Buffalo? Was thinking Gabriel's gate but if there's better let me know.

a little late but if you're still in town would definitely recommend Ted's over Louie's.

i'm playing 3-4 tournys during summer slam but unfortunately can't make the high roller today. a bunch of the higher stakes regs are just getting back from vegas now so will see if they're in yet. if i had to guess, I would expect maybe 60 but that could be way off depending on who's still in vegas.

also, Bravo's finally live at Seneca as of last week.

Is Niagara Falls the best area for poker in Canada?
Niagara Falls -- both US and Canadian sides Quote

Yes, if you want to grind 2/5 and 5/10 cash games.
Montreal would be the best for tournaments, with Playground Poker Club's WPT, TonyBet, 888, CPPT, GPPT, PPC and Quantum events, along with the WSOP-C events at the government-owned casinos.

I noticed Seneca Niagara raised the comp benefits to 1 dollar an hour for 1/2 NL and low limit games and 2/5 NL is now 2 bucks an hour. Did they raise their rake too? If they didn't raise the rake can anybody speculate why they raised the comps? Thanks.

the 2/5 game that used to run on weekdays doesn't really seem to go anymore, at least not on the days i'm usually there. my guess is they're trying to pull players back in/get more players in from Fallsview (speculation)
