I never took the NJ Transit bus to/from AC, Greyhound was easy and comfortable and express, didn't even realize there was an NJT option as never needed to look into it.

NJ Transit there are no assigned times, which is good or bad (good coming back you can take a later bus than you planned, bad, you may have to get there early to get a seat leaving from Port Authority). The NJ Transit break in Toms River is not good, as you said...
I’m definitely not advocating for greyhound, they suck too.
The nj transit stop is annoying for me personally and the seats are way less comfortable. No set time is usually better though imo

My buddy called me and told me about it and overheard it during table talk at the borgata 2 days ago. A quick google also did not show me this is fact but that’s what I’ve been hearing

Cuomos trying to circumvent the gag order on building casinos in nyc city limits… ct is trying to do the same thing w the tribes trying to circumvent a pre existing deal.

I think COVID and the need for taxes is why there’s this urgency in both places. Also marijuana got legalized in both places for the same tax reasons.

I agree, but that doesn't mean that some guys overhearing it at a random 1-3 table at Borgata means it's close.

In NYC. Covid stopped me playing. Looking to get back in. In the past I've been to a lot of the usual rooms (various AC, Sands before Wind Creek, Parx, Foxwoods, etc.) Flipping through the individual venue threads things seem to be a shadow of what they were pre-Covid. Trying to figure out where to go for a mid-week day trip.

Wouldn't mind a tourney but that seems deader than cash. That being the case, where's the best 1-2/1-3 games nowadays? What's the most pleasant room at this point I have a car and will drive up to 2 hours (think AC is about as far as I'll go.)

Need some intel. Thanks.

I haven't played live in forever but if I had to bet money I'd go with Parx.

First you need to decide whether you want 1/2 or 1/3 since it's a big difference.

For 1/2, your only option is WC (buy in is 100 to 300). For 1/3, Parx and Borgata are about the same; parx has no garage so you might have to walk in the rain, Borgata has a garage.

In therms of the "best" games, it's pretty much even. I know everyone always wants to play in a game with the least skilled players but here in 2021 everyone pretty much as a clue.

Thanks. Even before Covid I hadn't been to Parx is a while. I might have to try it again. And the garage thing doesn't bother me. I been to Borgata quite a bit, and always parked in the back lot anyway.

I'm just wondering if it's worth bothering anymore.

Yea I jus said it bc it's gonna be raining the next few days. I would play at borgata then, you might get room offers after you play and can come back next time for a couple days.

Can’t go wrong with the low stakes games at Borgata in Atlantic City, Parx in Bensalem PA (20 minutes outside of Philadelphia PA) ,Rivers Philadelphia, Live Philadelphia and Wind Creek in Bethlehem PA. If distance is a concern, Parx and Wind Creek would be your closest driving options (about an hour and 1/2 each way if no traffic)

Harrahs had a lot of 1-2, some 1-3 (500 cap) and one 2-5 table running most of the time when I was there a few weeks ago. The 1-3 at Harrahs was way splashing and wilder than at the Borgata in my limited experience, but I'd still say Borg miles better overall

Seems like the gaming commission has set a December 10th date for proposals.

I'd guess that at some point next year, those getting licenses will be made aware and start preparing for the expanded games they're about to be approved to offer at some point in 2023. Does anyone have any greater knowledge if there's a date when the licenses can be issued?

This seems like the wheels are finally starting to move on the long awaited process. Giggidy
