Pretty sure cash tables in NH are 9 handed ?
10 handed would give you an advantage over the competition if allowed in NH.

The hardest obstacle was that gaming was considered to be against Salem's zoning laws, and a variance was needed. Basically a hardship was needed to grant the variance. There were other criteria, but that was the one that all three seemed to share.

Tough night for the those applying. I'm not sure I would consider it dead, but the legal process just got harder as laws would need to change. Apparently Rockingham was in a different zone, and also was described us unknown how they started the charity gaming.

On another note, some members of the committee were clearly biased to certain sites. It was pathetic to watch.

Then again me watching them for 2 hours is pathetic too.

Very disappointing to hear the news regarding the Salem rooms.

Anyone have any update on the Nashua room? I heard that was going to happen, but I can't find anything online.

Boston Billards has posted on FB they plan to open in November. Also recently posted pictures of new chips and have been hiring staff. Supposedly they are looking to model room after the Playground Poker Club in Canada.

They screwed it up. They easily have the legal authority to grant a room, the problem was the fix was in for the worst site. The chair was obviously not part of it and was quite angry when the old guy tried to pull off the scam on the last hearing. He shut that right the F down and unfortunately, it was too late (for tonight) to save Cheers.

Now the lawyers need to go to work...bye bye racks of blacks for the next phase...

btw..... The scammers and those in the background, directly cost the Charities $ 2M dollars tonight. They left very unhappy

Having grown up in that area, I wanted to scoff at Puckster's naiveté, that Power Point is worth more than bribes. But I haven't lived there in years, and hoped that he was right. Guess some things never change. Sorry, Puck.

I see what you are saying but Puck tried from my perspective to make a compelling argument with the powerpoint, which is just a visual reference. I would suppose that type of presentation os used less in a board setting. I think he tried from what I saw to convince that he's an honest good guy with charitable heart and the board just wants to know does his property meet their 5 specific criteria.

It was clear the older gentlemen was for a particular site. The woman seemed to be clueless on all of them. The chair seemed to be against anything.

The 1st one denied was easier for them with potential traffic, as their major gripe. The board stalling on police detail was rather absurd. Make any place hire security, why does it have to be a cop, which are understaffed aparently. Have a surrounding town fill the detail then. I believe this site was dead from the beginning.

The 2nd one denied, they make this contention no future business might move their, isnt it vacant?? Seemed like a good idea. Then the person who clearly had a bias was mentioning traffic in an area their usually isnt as well as parking.

The 3rd one denied, they seem to like it the most, especially the biased guy, siting a bingo hall that failed. but it is industrial area. 1 board guy mentioned if a cop saw you he'd run your plate. Ya so what? Unless you have something to hide or doing something illegal, run my plate all day. I can see it is of the 3, most off the beaten path. Clearly they are picking this moral compass.

Well seems they are in agreement something will be put somewhere, just a matter of where. Seems someone needs to find a property in Overlay District, where ever that is then their is far less of a reason they can reject it.

Sad none of the siteswere deemed viable. Of course charities will be impacted. Looks like the gravy train gor charities is over for now and they will have to resort to older methods of fundraising.

Nashua Boston Billards Nov3rd will immediately get an uptick due to location and new place.

No 1 place in my opinion, will replace the traffic the rock generated.

How important are tournaments to people? Cash game 1/2, 2/4...

Table games??

For now Manchester & Hampton Falls

Batting 1000 on appeals, very expensive and time consuming phase.... Will be at least 500 hours prep time from me.... Blah

Manchester seems to get PLO and/or PLO8 going on some days as well. Their cash games have grown quite a bit since Rock closed.

They had pics of $1-$100 denominations, never seen anything over $25 in NH rooms. Are they going to be offering NL cash games or just tournaments?

Manchester has $100 chips.

Cash and Tournament is what I heard, but my information is third hand at best.
