I see what you are saying but Puck tried from my perspective to make a compelling argument with the powerpoint, which is just a visual reference. I would suppose that type of presentation os used less in a board setting. I think he tried from what I saw to convince that he's an honest good guy with charitable heart and the board just wants to know does his property meet their 5 specific criteria.
It was clear the older gentlemen was for a particular site. The woman seemed to be clueless on all of them. The chair seemed to be against anything.
The 1st one denied was easier for them with potential traffic, as their major gripe. The board stalling on police detail was rather absurd. Make any place hire security, why does it have to be a cop, which are understaffed aparently. Have a surrounding town fill the detail then. I believe this site was dead from the beginning.
The 2nd one denied, they make this contention no future business might move their, isnt it vacant?? Seemed like a good idea. Then the person who clearly had a bias was mentioning traffic in an area their usually isnt as well as parking.
The 3rd one denied, they seem to like it the most, especially the biased guy, siting a bingo hall that failed. but it is industrial area. 1 board guy mentioned if a cop saw you he'd run your plate. Ya so what? Unless you have something to hide or doing something illegal, run my plate all day. I can see it is of the 3, most off the beaten path. Clearly they are picking this moral compass.
Well seems they are in agreement something will be put somewhere, just a matter of where. Seems someone needs to find a property in Overlay District, where ever that is then their is far less of a reason they can reject it.
Sad none of the siteswere deemed viable. Of course charities will be impacted. Looks like the gravy train gor charities is over for now and they will have to resort to older methods of fundraising.
Nashua Boston Billards Nov3rd will immediately get an uptick due to location and new place.
No 1 place in my opinion, will replace the traffic the rock generated.
