Good to hear they're spreading PLO.

Last time I played a tournament there was the 430 about 5 weeks ago. They had 5 tables. Couple of weeks before, I was deep in the same tournament and they cancelled the 9pm due to having only 3 registered.

Played 1/2 NL on Wednesday. Played OK early, then got stupid late ($200 bluff into tough player.) I plan on a 2 hour session Saturday evening & may take Josie's suggestion & forget the bluffs.

I've noticed this too. At first they just threw everyone at every game. Now they seem to calculate a little more with the dealer rotations, especially when it comes to who's dealing PLO.

Thanks. The room was moved upstairs due to a craft fair going on downstairs. It's very poorly lit up there. Old lady in the 8 seat to my left couldn't make out the color of the chips being bet. Whole building is a dump.

That being said, the dealers I had were awesome. We had a few minor hiccups but the floor took care of them right away.

Cash tables were insanely busy. In contrast, the 2 day $250 tournament had only 20 something players.

Finally hit up Manchester Poker Room tonight. (Is it Manch Vegas? Jokerz? I never know what to call it.)

Nice room overall. Dealers were professional and friendly. Definitely a cleaner and more mature atmosphere than Rock. Only games running were $1/$2 NLHE, four tables by the end of the night. I can't speak for the other three tables, but my table was quite actionful. I only wish the place were a bit bigger.

They had roulette, blackjack, and NH Hold'em running all night too, and they all received a fair amount of action (for $4 limits).

I played my first session at The Rock today since the $2-$4 cap was instituted. Action was much more restrained, although in fairness I was there during noon to 5pm on a Sunday during football season (still - no Pats game), so a lot of the degens might've been elsewhere sweating DFS.

At my $2-$4NL table we were seeing nearly a third of the pots limped, and no one was really getting out of line. By 4:30 there were four $2-$4NL tables open, with the last one not being called until after 4pm. And I was stuck on the $2-$4 list (I didn't get there in time to be seated at the first table) until nearly 2pm. It did seem like the other two tables had some action spots, and judging by three people at my table wanting to get on a transfer list I probably just had bad luck of the draw on my table.

Here's a fun one - at my $1/$2 table the second dealer sits down and fans out the cards to account for all suits and numbers. He proceeds to flip them over and a player notices that one of the cards is from another colored deck. Not a shining moment for the room, but I will say that they generally had their act together and the electronic lists are a nice step up from the dry erase board they were relying upon for a while.

Those who are into PLO, at roughly 4pm they ask all interested players to come to the board to see if they could get a game started short, but I don't think the game had been called before I left. Most likely the "hey, I'll try PLO - how hard could it be" crowd has been cleaned out over the past several months.

I'll probably go back again, but not until after football season is over (I tend to play Sundays because weekdays are impossible due to traffic), and by then I might opt for Twin River, which is just about the same distance from me door to door and might give me a better shot of sitting across from and alongside the gambooool crowd from the casino.

Rock seems to get a PLO game going every weekday. During peak hours on Fridays and Saturdays, it's often two tables of PLO. But on Sundays, for some reason, they rarely seem to even get a list longer than four names.

Played PLO on Saturday from 6 till around 11. The older woman with the 70's hair, and the uber nitty woman with glasses were there as usual (I folded the 2nd nuts against her several times, was correct each time) Doesn't make for the best game. We were 4-5 handed for the last few hours. As mentioned above the 2-4 games are much less enticing than they used to be. They had 3 tables going and everyone was trying to move tables. All the degens I know from underground games seem to have stopped coming up as I haven't seen them in weeks/months. The bloom is off the rose so to speak. I wonder if the tournaments will start coming back. The 1-2 still looks to be decent though.

On the plus side I had a piece of pizza and didn't experience any internal distress, so that's a first. Honestly though, the rake is high, the place is such a dump, and there's a zero chance they put any money into the building. I'll be glad when Wynn opens, the good dealers will get jobs there and the stiffs, the older guy who pitches SO SLOW and glances up at the game/horses every 5 seconds in particular will be put out to pasture and they'll be back to 1-2 limit games. Maybe then the unwashed masses of NH will rethink the decision to not develop that property into a real casino.

I find Rockingham to literally be depressing. The building is so run down it makes me feel weird. The restrooms are ancient and falling apart. The food is horrible. It sucks that it's the most convenient room for me to get to.

And its very sad that for a lot of people, this exposure is their initial impression of a poker room. How sad.

On one of my frequent EC trips to see family, I played at rock- had to be two+ years ago now. One dude spilled a complete cup of beer on the floor, right near the men's room in the downstairs poker area. We had a complete puddle, then a pond, of beer underneath the table, and I have sandals on. Three dealer downs later, and no one has cleaned this stuff up- no mop, no janitor, even though every dealer and floor has come over and vowed to "get someone to mop this up"

I left. I was done anyways, for the most part, but I also vowed to never come back. That vow got broken.

I did e-mail Ed C., from a link in the website, and he actually got back to me, apologized for the mess, saying the physical plant, janitorial and food was "beyond his control", he was just renting, and to not give up on the place.

Its been hard to not give up on it, I still visit 2X a year,. and I think the NL cash has saved the room. But yeah, it is still a dump.

Posted to the Twin River Facebook page - "Poker Room Opens Dec 3."

There have been dealers who said they were scheduled before the third, but I would guess they will be dealing for play money or possibly a soft open for real money.

Not to mention that the floors are warped, requiring you to stack two chairs to see over the edge of the table, the tables are nine handed and filthy, no cup holders unless you want to use the portable ones to hide your chips behind, and did I mention the chairs. They are extremely uncomfortable. I drive the 100 miles to Foxwoods and avoid the 25 mile trip to the Rock.

In the new year I'll be checking out Hampton Falls with my poker buddies. Place looks to 1000x cleaner than Rockingham.

Hampton Falls could have gonorrhea and this would still be true.

Has anyone played in this tourney (last Sunday of each month). Just wondering what the play is like, how well it's run and how many players they usually get. I've never been to the room before.

That's great! Is there a Twin River specific thread on this site yet? I can't wait for it and hopefully the room is run properly!
