I made it to the Rock on Saturday for that effing tournament! I donked out pretty early. My own stupidity/impatience. I had a couple of the WORST players at my table and it was frustrating because they were giving away chips, being in every hand and bluffing almost as many.
I was pretty card dead until I woke up with QQ and the horrible player raising preflop.
The flop was J-x-x rainbow. He bet big, I raised bigger and he jammed all in. This was I was too excited to take his chips and bounty and I called. He had **** in every other hand he'd played but this time? He flopped trips with JJ.
I was shortstacked. I still could've come back, I've done it before but I was hangry, no patience and shoved a few hands later. 3 peeps called sniffing after my bounty and it was gg for me.
FWIW There were "enough" runners. 3 tables w/alternates made it 39 players.
Then I played cash.
Now I played cash there once since July 1, and man was it hopping then. There were 3, yes 3, PLO games running that time. THIS time however, there was one PLO table. I played there for about 3 hours. Fun and profitable. I ended up switching to NLHE after playing 5 handed for about a half hour and after I left the table closed down and stayed that way.
There was plenty of NLHE though. I headed over there with a ton of chips from PLO and found out the stupidest rule about the buy in. I could only put $150 on the table. Okay, I did that and stuffed the other chips in my pockets.
I was playing away and later found out that you can ALSO put $150 on the table during your second hand as well, regardless of the first $150 in front of you. WTF kind of sense is that? What's the point?
