Well, damn, let's hope it's a go. It'll be nice to supplement 10 min trips to NH rather than 2 hour one-way trips to CT for my fix.

Is this per buy in or just one bullet allowed ? No one In the local rooms seems to understand how the law is written.

I read the bill and I couldn't figure it out. Dealers in those rooms tell me they think rebuying will be allowed. I'm definitely not a lawyer but it seems to me the law is sufficiently vague that it wouldn't be hard for these rooms to get a legal opinion that they can run with rebuys.

If you have noticed, I have been somewhat silent concerning the potential new law. You know silent isnt quite my thing. Just want to make sure I have my ducks in order and have the facts before I speak on it. We are taking due diligence, to make sure players, charities, and the charitable gaming companies are protected and the games profitabe(especially for the players). This is too important, to all of us, to rush into something that has not yet hit the governors desk.

Word from someone in the know.

Will be interested to hear how this ends up working in practice.
If you can
1) reload unlimited bullets,
2) keep topping off to a $150 max stack as needed, and
3) the games are good,
then it will be pretty worthwhile and obviously a huge improvement.

the bill gets confusing when it states that you may purchase 150 per game. this is very vague. cash doesn't really have a "game". tables break and people sit at must moves. Tournaments have a beginning and an end. so that clearly can't be what they mean. time limts and per day buy-ins are unenforceable. the people I have spoken too feel most of the commission will regard a game as a hand. If this happens you could buy 150 wait a hand and buy 150 more. In that case after two hands you could run a typical 1 2 no limit after the second hand. keep your fingers crossed we could have real poker in a few weeks. worse case it is still a huge leap forward.

one last point the law is poorly written and vague. People in the industry are not sure exactly what it means. People with knowledge of the game will guide the process and hopefully the politicians don't mess it up

Looks like Poker at Twin River is finally coming.

Between NH and this, a lot of new options for NE players over the next couple months. Can't wait.

Can someone give me a rundown of the best rooms in NH? I live in Boston and mostly go down to CT casinos but that will be changing with this law. Any suggestions or resources to figure out which room(s) to check out first?

Eh, right now it's all tournaments and limit games so I think you'd need to wait for a few rooms to implement NL for a bit to give a fair judgement. You can bet that the rake will be much higher than CT though.

Hampton. I will be playing at Rockingham though since I live 1 exit away from the place. Wish I had more info on their plans.

I don't recall if anyone mentioned this earlier, but I hope the NH rooms upgrade the cameras and security with the introduction of NL. I've never been uncomfortable playing there in the past but could foresee problems in the dark parking lots at the end of some evenings.

If I play at any of these rooms it'll be Rockingham for me too, I'm 15 mins away.

The only problem with dealers saying that it is a done is the bill has not been signed yet. We who work in nh have our fingers crossed. The governor should have the bill mon or Tuesday. Then we have to hope the racing and gaming commission doesn't decide to try and write rules as they are clueless and it would delay things six months. As for the rake it probably be higher than the woods but it costs me fifty bucks in gas to get there so you have to look at the whole picture. Hopeing for the best July 1st
