What’s the over/under for % of players wearing masks?

20%. When I've been in NH I haven't seen too many masks if not required.

Chasers appears to be slammed. At 1:15 PM there are 57 on the 1-2 waitlist. With no Encore, they will probably stay busy. Wonder if they'll bring back the tables they removed when Encore opened and biz slowed down ?

Curious whether players are wearing masks or not.

Meanwhile, Boston Billiards Club has only 25 punters present. Is that because they require masks or because they have no current promos?

likely because of mask requirement in a state that doesn't require them so people are big mad

Chasers in Salem NH is historically always considerably busier than the Boston Billiard poker room.
I don't think it has anything to do with mask or promos.

The Salem NH area (Salem, Pelham, Lawrence, Methuen, Haverhill) has a higher level of degeneracy than the Nashua area, (Nashua, Greater Lowell MA etc).

Chasers crowd is grungier with more action and aggression, a combination of better players, and yes, some worse players.

A totally different vibe between Chasers Poker Room in Salem NH and Boston Billiard Club & Casino in Nashua NH.

If I'm looking for a more casual game of poker, I'll go to Nashua, if I'm looking for action, and possibly get run over, I'll go to Chasers in Salem NH.

I can hold my own in Nashua, more difficult to do at Chasers.

Encore pushed new target date out till July 6th and MGM says they won’t open until capacity restrictions are lifted more.

The announced 2 week shut down in March has become a ~4 month shut down.

I hope the Encore gets opened before the next shut down.

Not likely. Manchester has no mask requirement and not even half of players wear them. They have had just about as many cash tables as BBC every day. Its just location. 70-80% of the cars in the lot have MA plates.

All of NH is 6 for poker, 6 for roulette, and 4 for table games.

What are the rooms raking?

I was at Chaser's last week. I couldn't get in a game, but it looked like all the stakes were 5+2, even when there was a walker. That's pretty unsustainable, especially for 1/2. I hope one of the rooms will have the good sense to lower the rake at 6max.

That's unlikely. They still need to give the same amount to charity AND remain profitable.

But they should get more raked hands in per hour when it's short handed right?

True. But with limited capacity, that's fewer people ordering food and drink and playing table games, they want to make up that revenue somewhere. Also with no competition from the big casinos, are they hurting for business where they need to do that?

Not every room owns the food and beverage service. Chasers rents their space from The Lims, whose owners are the same ones that operated the Chinese restaurant/billiard hall before converting to the current form.

More hands are dealt, but from what I'm hearing there's slightly less action, so an above average number of hands with no flop no drop and pots taken down under $50. I think that probably balances out with the number of extra hands dealt, though. But keep in mind Chasers was struggling to get more than 5-8 tables on average before. Now they're getting 10 with a huge list, and that's likely to continue since outside of NH there's no poker rooms reopening in the region. BBC posted on Facebook including a thank you for all the players who came from as far away as NY & CT. New England General Discussion - Poker Room List in OP I would be very surprised if Chasers poker revenue was lower than it was before closing.

The pit games are another story, I haven't heard about them being as busy. To make room they had to remove several tables. And limiting players on those games actually creates less revenue. Still shocked the government allowed them to keep 6 players on roulette (they had suggested only 4) and that they're actually allowing 6. Can't think of any other game with less social distancing possible as people crawl all over themselves to place bets.

As for other rooms, heard Manchester isn't taking the fifth dollar until $80 and I think BBC isn't taking promo dollars. So it can vary widely from room to room at this point. Also The Brook is closing Monday and Tuesday this week and next for deep cleaning.

Oh and at Chasers I've now heard you can't use comp points for food and beverage, and bottled water is $3.
