I'll miss the drama they provided. Was quite amusing.

Went to Chasers yesterday from noon to about 5pm. Traffic was of course down, as I can't remember a weekend at 3pm where all tables weren't occupied, but even when I left there were at least a handful of unoccupied tables. Pit games were still lively though, so there's that.

Also, the $2-5 max buyin is now $800, which I was very happy to see. And at my $2-5 table there were probably 1-3 pots of $250 per orbit, so the action sure hasn't dried up. There was no $1-3 PLO though.

Based on this I think Chasers will survive, even if the glory days are over.

I don't expect that pit game traffic will decrease much. They'll lose some of the players who were only there because it was the only option within 90 mins, but the ones who are happy to bet within the $10 limit aren't going anywhere, as Encore isn't meant for those players.

Any donkaments at Encore yet? Website says poker atlas but nothing ever pops up.

Chasers is not giving up on PLO. They're running a Quadzilla PLO promo starting Friday.

Be the first time to hit a specific Quad, win $1k, for each (2222, 3333...AAAA).

I'm planning on heading over Friday, if anyone wants to join in.

I believe they're starting a NLHE Quadzilla the following Monday.

Burnsy, how did you up after taking your winnings for the late night Encore swing?

We got a full day of PLO at Chasers.
I showed up and we immediately got seated and started a 4 way game, and added a player every 10 minutes until the table was full.

That continued until around midnight when we dropped to 4-handed, with straddles and often a blind bet.

Most players were unaware of the Quadzilla promo, but justed wanted to play PLO without driving to Everett. Some potential Players had been frustrated because there have been no waiting lists for PLO so they gave up on it.

We knocked off 3 Quads during the afternoon for $1k each: KKKK,. 9999, & 6666.

Expect to be back at it today.

How's the room doing? I heard from a credible source that it's super soft now as all the good players went to encore and chasers is left with the gamblers.

It's a long drive with heavy traffic for me to get to chasers, 495 **** show, so I want to make sure it's worthwhile.

I know you predominantly play PLO, but any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I’m surprised to hear that you had players willing to play short handed. I played plo yesterday at Encore with some old Chasers regs. By old, I mean age wise. Every time the table got 7 handed, they would grunt and moan and call the floor over and cry about how Chasers is never short handed. They actually got up and walked around until we got full again.

As you said, I can't speak for the NLHE games, but the room had more of a feel of rec players having fun, noone getting out of hand.

It was a bit weird seeing the back row of tables empty (13-16), until we sat at table 13.

The table games were quite full.

Plenty of poker being played.

I walked in, and the floor manager greeted me and asked if I would be interested in playing short if we had 5 players. To which I gave my usual replay, I'll play HU. Another player at table one overheard us and said: PLO? Add me to the list.

The floor said to have a seat at table 13 and they'll send a dealer right down. I got some chips and sat, and almost immediately a few very familiar faces sat down also. And then a few others I didn't know so well.

I was told they are more than willing to start PLO with a short table. Of course things changed when the room was filling up.

Old people complaining they never play short, and then leaving the table until it's filled.

PLO did get going at Chasers right around noon and the one table stayed pretty full. Only one $2-5 table and it was a lot less splashy compared to when I was there two weeks ago, so I only stayed until 2pm, at which point I think there might've been 6 tables going in the entire room. It should pick up tomorrow with the $1000 for each quad hand (for a total of $13000) promo being extended to NL tables.

Chasers had a table of 2/5 Short Deck running for a few hours this afternoon.

Played some short deck Monday.

Then played 5/10 NLHE / 5/5 PLO mix until closing.

Good PLO action Friday.
Late start for PLO Saturday, but two tables.
I heard PLO went on Sunday.

Players seem to want to play PLO, but signups aren't there and players don't seem to want to sit down to start the game. Probably little confidence that the game with go.

Saturday, it took some work, but Tommy (SPVSR) got a table started short, however, the Table was full before the first card was dealt.

Nope.

They will get PLO/NLHE going. But you're not going to find O8.

Even prior to encore opening, it would take a couple of list calls to get the game to run.

One person wouldn’t be sure if they wanted to leave their NL game, another guy would only play with at least 6 players, another guy would only play with at least 5 players...
