Have to be honest...I was expecting puck to show up in this article and somewhat disappointed he wasn't
This is all such shocking news lol. It's how business gets done virtually everywhere but with such a high profile target it isn't that surprising people are going after Encore. They better have hard evidence though and most people at this level are too savvy to leave traces of such behind.

Spiro Agnew was collecting envelopes full of cash in his office at THE WHITE HOUSE.

Don't overestimate "people at this level".

I'm never getting AIP with KQo for more than 15BB but when I make less than great moves against solid players and win, I will absolutely use it as a needle.

I'll will do it discreetly as I like to maintain an affable demeanor and a comfortable table for the fish and recs but you bet your butt if I notice or guess this tilts you as a solid reg, I will take the opportunity if given. This ego-tilt is a leak for a lot of regs I've come across, even those that understand strategy well. Best case, they spew. Worst case, they leave the table, which is really pretty great because who wants people trying to play solid poker at your table?

IMO, the correct response to both a fish blowharding or me needling is "Yeah you're right, you're right. Nice hand man." Definitely NEVER arguing or defending your action. You there to look good in front of the other regs, or make $?

Would love to play some low stakes ($1-2 or $1-3) PLO8. Recommend Boston Billiards in Nashua or Manchester Poker Room?

you're assuming he stacked the deck for someone who was betting $10 or less a hand at table games?

Some of the commenters have said it was Mississippi Stud. Makes sense really. Poker players are probably more likely to catch something out of the ordinary and you win one or two good hands on MS you could get a few thousand. Stacking a poker deck is a bit trickier because you have to fix at least two hands (and specifically an opponent that has a good stack) and the board, then hope the other player commits.

What commenters? I don't see any comments on the WHDH article, and I read the comments on the Facebook page of the article and nobody mentions this. Though you're probably right, it's the only thing that makes sense.

I was reading the comments in the Poker in Massachusetts Facebook group. Another commenter chimed in (I'm thinking they manage at BBC?) and gave a bit more detail. It was indeed table games not poker and they discovered it immediately, called the police, the two were questioned and removed. Explanation was also given as to the amount of time it took to arrest them (happened in October) which was a result of the accused living out of state and the police department doing a thorough job.

Source inside Encore: no room comps for poker players due to the number of rooms available.

NH realizing they are 10 years late, could be approving casinos.

Lol. Imagine what the landscape could have been if they just let the rock turn into a resort casino.

Too little too late. I'm sure this would lead to small stuff in the ski regions and Hampton could grow a bit.

It could actually have more teeth than that on the sports book front as NH already has online lottery.

Sen. Martha Fuller Clark, D-Portsmouth, has been arguing against the casino proposals almost as long as D’Allesandro has been arguing for them.

“We will never be able to see a casino to compete with the Wynn in Everett, Mass.,” she said.

“We will only see New Hampshire people at these New Hampshire casinos and it will be like robbing Peter to pay Paul, taking money out of the pockets of our citizens and putting it into government in a process that will have a major impact on tourism and our reputation as a family-friendly state. In the end we will only lose more than will gain.”
Dear Senator,

Please vote one example of a state that legalized casinos, and went on to lose more than they gained.

One. Please.

Sen. Martha Fuller Clark, D-Portsmouth, has been arguing against the casino proposals

as one of the biggest liberals in the state
her refusing tax revenue just goes against everything the party stands for.
yet people keep voting for her.

Eureka casino buying Seabrook with that huge building and parking lot is looking like a better buy each day.
they have the only para-mutual lic. in the state
Keno
soon to be legal sports betting
casino's legal near future
2 minutes off major North-south interstate
can't wait to see what they do with the place

Does anyone know definitively if Encore will be charging for parking? And if so how much?
