Hi all. I'm going to be in Nashua for work on Nov 26-27 and am wondering where I should play low stakes NLH? Boston Billiards Club seems convenient but I don't see it mentioned here much lately. What all are my options that are fairly close and what's the rake like at these places? Do they all have automatic shufflers?

Anyone played much at the Lebanon room? Has it gained traction since it opened this summer? Hoping the room works out for when I'm there next summer, but I don't hear anything about it ITT so I wonder if it's small potatoes that might not last the long haul.

If you're in Nashua I would just go to Boston Billiards. They get enough 1/2 games going if you're looking for low limit.

Thanks. Do they have auto shufflers and is it 9 or 10 handed? I'd be willing to drive a little for 9 handed, auto shufflers and lower rake if necessary

Which rooms do you currently play 1/2? I'd recommend scouting the 2/5 game while you're at 1/2 for a couple weeks (if you haven't already done so) to recognize who the regs are, what their stacks consistently look like (to separate a "reg" from a "pro" as they are two completely different animals), and note their body language. The best 2/5 players know who is at 1/2 and moving up so expect to be put to the test if you're in games with many of these players (Not to scare you but if I see this player moving up he/she is going to be made very uncomfortable with aggression).

I'd suggest getting your feet wet in a must move weekend night game which most likely won't have many of these familiar faces or worse, faces that recognize you are moving up in stakes. You are probably better off at Foxwoods or Mohegan with a 500 max rather than a deeper 1k max game at MGM. Keep us updated on your progress.

Had a good plo session at Chaser's on Friday and guess what? I flopped a Royal Flush at the PLO felt, without realizing there was a payout for that.

$1,000 and that's at PLO!

Thank you Chasers!

Oooo if you find a PLO game, let me know. I'm in! The only PLO I know of that runs regularly is Chasers or FW.

Will NH ever have a 24/7 room? Sad to see a game end at 1AM and watch a drunk dude trying to rack $1500..

I would doubt it. Also don't imagine there'd be much demand considering how the rooms wind down around 10pm. Plus, with no alcohol after 1am you'd lose some as well.

Not for 24/7 but 24 hours on weekends would likely be supported as you'd only really have a lull for 3-4 hours rather than being closed for 8. I would imagine that games would also be supported until 3am on weeknights.

I work in a 24/7 cardroom that still has Last Call For Alcohol every night, in the midwest. It can be done, and the society does not crumble.

Like a real casino? Are they going to develop or operate out of the same place?

Boston Herald says Mohegan Sun wants to buy Encore / Wynn if gaming commission wont let them open due to Steve Wynn problems.

I would much prefer Encore over Mohegan. Nothing against M/S, I just think Encore brings so much more based on what I've seen in Vegas. Pkus I think the competition is good for us all.

I'm hopeful they will work it out, but this is Massachusetts

Man, I've heard people say for years that we're spoiled on poker in New England. I figured it was bias or trolling. Out in Vegas for my first trip ever this past weekend and I was lucky to find a room with more than 10 tables and more than 2 or 3 games going. Caesars was the best game so far but even they only had about five 1-2 NLH games going and a single 2-5 NLH with no Omaha, and I had to wait 2 hours at a 1-2 for my 2-5 seat after signing up as 3rd on the list.

Had a great time, but since I only really enjoy poker I doubt I'd bother with another trip out here with the exception of the Series.
