Are there any venues in the NE area other than Foxwoods and Mohegan that offer comped rooms?

There are no other rooms with hotels attached. We shall see what MGM offers in 3 months or so. I'm not expecting much because they will have a small hotel.

Can we get an update with some of the other rooms? I never hear much about these

Jack's in Rochester? Keene? The River? Lakes Region? Did that Lebanon room ever open?

How is the high hand effecting rooms?

From what I read, construction began on the Lebanon room a few months ago. They are hoping to have licensing in June.

A Lebanon room makes so much sense - it will be a hotbed from day one, between that town, Dartmouth, plus Woodstock and White River Junction. And those are just places within 15 miles.

I saw on Facebook that the NH House & Senate have approved the $10 max bet increase for charitable gaming in NH. All that the bill needs is the governor's signature.
  • 05/23/2018 - HOUSE - Conference Committee Report 2015C: Adopted, Voice Vote
  • 05/23/2018 - SENATE - Conference Committee Report # 2018-2015C, Adopted, Voice Vote

Should be interesting to see this get going in NH.

Now I'm no janitor or hairdresser, but Chasers is kinda badly run though they are improving.

How they handle chips is really, really worrisome. They do NOT count the chips out when they give them to you. What makes this even more disturbing is I've gotten the wrong amount of chips when I've purchased them, TWICE.

I cashed out 4 racks the other night (subtle brag, yeah, yeah) and when I'm in a hurry to leave and have a ****load of chips, I just don't trust that the cage will count accurately based on my previous encounters. Anyway, she didn't count them, kinda just counted out how many racks of red I had - partially paid me. Didn't pay me for the black $100 thingys, which I immediately pointed out and she was like "Oh I guess I'll pay you for those after."

Not a warm fuzzy feeling when cold hard cash is involved, but then again, I'm no expert like a dealer or a hair dresser.

Also, I always call in omw to poker room, and spell my name, because "Josie" is so difficult. I make it accurately on list about 30% of the time. This BOTHERS me.

If what I’m reading on other social media is accurate, the max buy in for NL cash would still be 500 dollars for now, though it’s rumored there will be discussions regarding increasing that.

This will have an immediate impact on table games obviously though.

can confirm all of this. The part that really blows my mind is when counting out your cash they do it in their hands. They don't lay of bill out on the counter so I and the camera's can see. They just have a stack of bills in their hand and count it out. That doesn't do me any good as I can't see the bills. I always recount before I leave the window.

And since we're here, one time I cashed out $994. I told the girl behind the plexiglass(do they really need that? can't hear a word she says) "It's 994 in chips and here's six dollars" She then proceeded to give me $994 and take the six bucks as a tip....

"cameras", lol. This is Salem NH, buddy.

You guys are correct, I was wrong to throw that old "hairdressers and janitors" joke around here. This thread is unique on the internet, in that your complaints actually have merit, almost every single time. I'll still use it in the Patriots thread, tho.

As for what dealers promos/bbj's dealers can have, of course the policy laid out above is dumb. But in fairness, NH is not unique in that regard. I rarely see a room in the USA with a policy I like in this area. I've seen ONE place with what I consider ideal: "dealers don't get any promo or bbj--so they don't have to pay promo/bbj drop when they win the pot." How anyone can object to that is beyond me, but like I said, I've only seen it in one room in my life.

Wait, are you saying the NH rooms don’t have cameras or am I reading this wrong?

I read it the same way. Just a foolish statement as at chasers one can actually see the monitor from the gaming floor and all the cameras being displayed on it.

FWIW foxwoods is the only casino that I’ve played in(and I’ve played in a lot)that will count down thexrack. Racks are made for 20 chips. It’s pretty obv when it’s short

I think Chasers has a lot of potential but needs someone with experience to professionally manage the cage (and mah money!).

Dgaf about anything else, including but not limited to HH promotions, BBJ, rewards points, comfy chairs, chargers in tables, etc.

I use PokerAtlas to remote register on my way in. I had problems with it for the first month. Now it works great. The confirmation is slow, but I haven't had any issues for awhile. The App even pops up a 60 minute timer so you know how much time you have to arrive.

and Chasers definitively has cameras; at every table! I don't know about the cage.

Yes for Paulson chips & racks, and maybe some other known quantities. Definitely played at NH rooms with lesser chips and racks that fit 21.

Yeah, Mac told me to use poker atlas to register too. *eyeroll*

Are you playing tomorrow night, Mister? We don't seem to play at the same table anymore! I'll be there and I'll buy you an ice cream.

Plus Chasers' chips don't quite fit in those racks.

I can be on the list via call-in for 60 minutes? I thought it was like 15-20 min.

Hey, we got 1 hand in together last week. Not sure how you got to jump to the featured table. you must know someone.

ice cream, how can I refuse that.

Yes, it's 60 minutes for Chasers.
HF is 30 minutes.

They fit, it's just tight. I like that better, the loose fitting racks at Twin always make me think I'm missing a chip. At Chasers, if there is any room for wiggle in the rack, you're definitely missing some.
