If going forward Cheers only takes $5 a hand and starts offering good promos/player rewards, I think the place has tremendous upside given how many tables they have. On big promo nights at some of the other venues, all those people waiting to sit down would be in games at Cheers because they have the ability to host so many more players.

Players conscious of the $7 rake go to Chasers in spite of the rake because of the number of people!

Also, number of tables doesn’t mean **** if there aren’t any dealers. Rooms will always understaff as it saves them money.

Most players go there because of the games and location. They spread up to five 2/4 games and one PLO game on most Fridays while giving out $0 in promo money.

so why wouldn't Cheers post that hi-hand day on Poker Atlas ? They only put it facebook ? Wow, would think they want maximum people there for their 1st promo.

FYI other rooms besides Cheers are also having high hands....

500/hr high hands @Manchester

Mystery high hand min 500/half hr (could be up anywhere from 500-1000) @Chasers

250 tourney @Nashua Boston Billiards

150 tourney @Hampton Falls (they might have high hands too)

Interested to hear the reports from Cheers today with the high hand. Poker Atlas currently shows only 6 $1/2NL tables running. Supposedly, they have the automatic shufflers installed.

They’ve got 10 cash tables going so far. When you factor in that many other rooms are also running promos, plus Hampton Falls is running a tourney right now with 137 people and counting, I’d say today has been a pretty solid start for them.

Here playing now. Rake is $5 promo and $2 for house, sign posted at door says $3+2, nothing in any of the Facebook groups said the rake went up, pissed because I thought about playing a tourney today but chose this place because of the ad. And the shuffler on my table stopped working after three hands.

Thinking of moving to PLO, they opened it 4 handed but max buy is 300, they're raking that for the same as Holdem but it isn't participating in the high hand. Not sure if the players there have enough to justify the move.
