Grease the right people...really? No. I don’t mean to pick on you personally, but I am getting tired of people in this forum (and also the world in general of course) who are willing to just assume, with no evidence or facts needed, that every government regulator is corrupt, or needs a bribe to do their job. People grossly overestimate how much of that goes on. It certainly has not been my experience. Most government employees are serious about their jobs, and happy to get their decent pay and pensions that most others don’t get anymore, and don’t look for bribes obviously. They wouldn’t risk being ruined for that, as people do go to jail for such things. Not saying it never happens, but its ridiculous to just assume it does.

If you truly live in Boston
then simply turn on the news
every other month a state rep is caught
HILTER could run as a democrat in Mass. and you would be in denial and back him.
I would list them but not enough room
no one assumes anything .
We see the news and understand the News instead of putting our heads in the sand.
80k a year for a $10 hr toll taker job and the jobs all go to cronies of reps But oh yea they're great.

Toll taker jobs in MA? But you don't have your head in the sand? It's like you don't even realize that MA eliminated 400 toll collector jobs.

Lol some funny stuff here snowman. Just for the record no, I wouldn't support Hitler..and I wouldn't support a child molester, either. Don't want to get too much into politics, I was trying to post something related to NE gaming/poker. I'm not saying there are no patronage jobs, I agree there are; I'm just saying that the regulators who are making decisions on gaming in Mass, NH, etc., shouldn't be assumed to be corrupt or taking bribes. They would and should face jail, disgrace, loss of pension for that, if proven.

I once did a term paper on Hitler in high school; 10 pages with a fancy handmade cover that had 'HILTER' emblazoned on it, as big as can be. I thought it was a masterpiece and was so disappointed to get a B+ with an explanation saying it would've been an A, except for the cover.

I had to ask the teacher to explain what was wrong with it.

Also - Toll takers are a thing of the past in Massachusetts but I'm cool with them earning 80K per year if that is in fact what they got. I wouldn't breathe in all that car exhaust for 2,080 hours a year.

Haven't 4 of the last 5 speakers of the house for Massachusetts been convicted of something while in office? Corruption with sick days, preferential contracts and subcontracts, I could go on and on. I know people who work for the city of Boston and they say it's as bad as you read, and in some cases worse. Get your head out of the sand.

Top Golf confirmed for MGM Springfield. Way better than Go-Karts, Zip-lines and a skating rink.

47 people on the Chasers waitlists right now. Cheers, zero's across the board. I have no experience working in a poker room or a casino but I gotta figure I could get a least 1 table going when the room down the street is packed to the gills.

It’s all about the high hands, which, rumor has it, Cheers will be doing soon

Chasers had about 7 tables running last night, which while still very good, is nothing compared to tonight.

Most people it seems go to the NH rooms based on promos.

Cheers is starting high hands on Presidents Day and they are giving away a ton of money. It’s on Facebook now.

Interesting...does anyone have any idea if they will be doing this regularly and on which days? I went on the website/facebook and couldn't find anything other than President's Day.

Can we please stop nonsense posts like this and go back to comparing people who disagree with us to Hitler.

Thanks in advance.

A - Buy an RFID table and launch a streaming show, even without commentary the popularity of Stones Live and Live at the Bike should tell you there is huge demand for this

B - Unique games other rooms wont run aimed at degens

- $4/$4 NL Holdem $100 MAX Buyin
- Turbo Short Handed SNG's

C - Freeroll Turbo Satellites before tournaments - $25 Rebuys

D - Set up televisions specifically for horse racing

E - Splash Pot or Aces Cracked Promo instead of reduced rake

heading out for my morning walk on the beach
but will come up with some for you later in the day!

I don't look at it as disagreeing with you so much as pointing out you have your head up your butt

Why compete directly with Manchester's extremely similar promo on the same day?

I'm sure Cheers is anxious to get stuff like this rolling and make their room a destination, but doing it with only a few days notice and in direct competition of another room's promo seems lees than optimal.

I would suggest getting word out well in advance and on a Friday. Players are out on Fridays, and all those in the promo chasing crowd could discuss it on a Thursday at Chasers....furthering getting the word out.

That said, I hope their plan works. GL

I gotta give credit where credit is due - these all strike me as darn good ideas.

The ideal room would be able to lure in OMCs and degens, plus everyone in between. The way to do that is action but also variety.

EPT streams its final table at certain tourneys, and that action is terrible yet still tons of people watch it. Streaming is definitely key.

I like a lot of these ideas. What’s your reasoning being the 4-4NL game though? Just a shovefest for the degens to enjoy? Do you think there’s enough people out there who’d play this?

Like your ideas a lot though.

I too hope their plan works. It can only benefit the players with more competition. I've had doubts whether Cheers was going to make it. Hopefully, now that they can offer promo's they'll get some traffic.

I also find it interesting how us players ( yeah, me too ) tend to flock to the promo sites even when the rake is higher during those events. I think Chasers collects up to $7 / hand on Thursdays and the place is packed.
