I seem to remember posts about Puck getting his permits denied on early attempts? And there was speculation that whatever board was in the tank for his competitor. Don't really give a @#$! but that's my recollection.

Since Chasers doesn't have the space for tournaments I think Cheers still has a shot to make it work if they do those right. Seems like they decreased the total number of them which is a good idea. The old schedule looked like 12:00pm 2pm 4pm 6pm 8pm, waaaay too many.

And since I'm here I will give props to Hampton. I've been driving up there from the north shore for a while now, keeping the PLO game alive. The fact that Grand China had an occupancy permit has nothing to do with the occupancy permit at Chasers. In order to do remodeling of any type you must first pull a building permit from the town. After the work has been completed the appropriate inspections must be done by the proper inspector (plumbing inspector, electrical inspector, building inspector or whoever is appointed to do said inspections) to make sure that the work was completed correctly and up to specific town safety codes. After all inspectors have signed off that the work was completed and is up to snuff then you get a NEW occupancy permit from the town and away you go. I do not know the specifics as to what extent the DOT was involved but I can surely tell you the town was heavily involved in the green light to be able to open the doors for business. The fact that Grand China had an occupancy permit before has zippo to do with anything.

Funny how you guys are so clueless. Puck lied to you all the entire time and now he is slandering his competition and the local government. The accused also deserves the right of presumed innocence until proven guilty.

Agree. I too thought the place sounded cool, and bought some of the pre-opening hype.
I would be happy to go there and check it out if they've got action and it's fun. But I don't feel obligated to make it happen for them.

I usually play once a week, BBC if it's a Friday since the room is a little closer to me, or Chasers if it's a Sat because the place hops with the HHs.

Also, I'm not necessarily fired up to go there if it's a group of 2+2ers trying to make it a thing.
Just give me a dumb action table with 1 bad LAG, 3 or 4 LP stations, and half the table straddling, and I will be there.

Interesting timing on Chip becoming a room rep, what with all the innuendo being tossed around of late. Surprised at the radio silence this far though.

He inquired about becoming a room rep a few days before all this drama got unleashed, because he wanted to clear up some confusion/misinformation about rake and stuff.

On a more positive note I have inside info of the Wynn casino being a good 8-9 months ahead of schedule ATM.. Poker room is gonna be big and up on a mezzanine overlooking the main slot gaming area.

How am I clueless? My post was neither for or against puck. I don't have a dog in the fight for any of the NH poker rooms. My post was simply to point out how "clueless" you were to go after another poster when you obviously had no idea what you yourself were talking about.

The Wynn board is gonna have to make some CYA moves to keep the Mass gaming commission happy, but I'd be pretty surprised if that is a big problem for the casino progress.

This is fake news, Wynn is not opening in the fall of this year. If anything, the new allegations against Steve Wynn which is resulting in a full investigation will delay the opening. The opening date has already been pushed back twice already which is normal for this type of project and the latest development surely can't help.
