Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't the 2/5 PLO at FW basically replaced the 5/10NL? It's getting there and it's a shame GOTF couldn't stick around to see it.

Not really. You've got half the table buying in for 200-300 though so even though the max was raised to 1000 it doesn't play anything close to 5/10NL.

I think the 5/5 is a closer resemblance with the 2K buyin limit.

more shout outs to GOTF!

What's the point? If they do it should be a $60 MAX so it can be an all in fest.

I wouldn’t play it, but I know some people who play recreationally who don’t have a ton of extra income that would rather buy in full and have 100 BB instead of buying in short at 1-2.

Unfortunately, Chasers does not plan on $1/$1 at this time. I hope your friends will still give us a try.
As of now we will offer:
NLH @ $1/$2 $1/$3 $2/$4
PLO @ $1/$2(fyi a $100-$500 buy in) $2/$4( $200-$500 buy in)
If PLO Players want it, we will offer $1/$3(with a $5 straddle sounds fun)

Also, look what came in today!

Chip - why $1/$3? I might be mistaken, but the only room I know of which ran it in recent memory was Mohegan, and it was an abject failure.

Do you really think that's an itch which needs scratching? Sure - in Vegas folks might use it as a bridge between 1/2 and 2/5 or if they're a bit underrolled for 2/5, but I can't see it being a draw for NLHE in New England.

I suggest you reconsider spreading $1/$1 in lieu of $1/$3, since 1/1 not only might attract people to your room who wouldn't otherwise play 1/2 (either at your place or one of the other spots), plus it will remove some short stack nits who buy in for the minimum and bog down 1/2 tables, making your 1/2 players happier in the process.

Of course, this is just one man's opinion - you call your own shots, and I'm pleased to see all the documented progress you're making.

I noticed that Chasers is listed on Poker Atlas ( says Opening Soon ) but Cheers no longer is listed.

Puck ?

The extent to which Puck is laying low ITT as compared to months ago, plus the lack of "in progress" pictures of the inside of the building has left me - and probably others - wondering what's up.

"In progress" pics are fun when the walls and floors are bare. They brim with optimism.

Pics of a completed, empty, still-unusable poker room are the opposite. They don't project optimism, they suggest frustration.

When you buy a new Lambo, you post pictures of it ON THE ROAD, not in the garage.

Besides, if the place *does* look spectacular on the inside, those pics will make a big splash--one best saved for the Grand Opening publicity push.

(Every word of this post is just a guess.)

Please know that I enjoy trying things for the greater good. That means I don't mind making mistakes either.

My thought on this was/is that I wanted to see if $1/$3 would cannabilize(spell check) $1/$2. If it didn't than we possibly create a third option that players want. Easy to start the trial, easy to stop as well. Also, now that I know about Mohegan failing with it, I am even more excited about trying it. This way I get a twofor; besides seeing if players want it, I can also see if NH Poker has similar traits as Mohegan...fun.
note: PLO $1/$3(with a $5 straddle-not mandatory) is great sounding!

$1/$1, up until the earlier post, I didnt even know this existed. I'll talk to Lisa(my partner and George, our DOO) and get back to you. Off the cuff I have to think about how the rake would work, if this table earns the rewards/hour(oops did I let that slip out) and if they would participate in the BB/HH fun stuff. note: just today I received an email about this so we already had this qued in to discuss!

Regarding progress updates: Social media doesn't come easy for me haha, very glad you like it.

I do notice you seem to be a bit of a "Debby-Downer" to my posts YTF. That's okay although I have no idea why you do it.
This seems like a great time to show you something we decided to try here at Chasers. Noone else in NH has this(I think noone in New England!). Eventhough the cost was 10x more, I thought it was too fun to pass up. Still a risk, but I hope you like it.

one more:
We could have made this rail from wood for about $500(or less). Instead, we went with this industrial-loft style rail at more than $4,000. We can't go crazy everywhere but we have in many places.
another example is our walls, We are not doing the cheapest way to go-painted sheetrock everywhere. Instead we are adding some texture to some walls...wait and see, its awesome!

We figured...why not?! Because of state limitations, the $100 is our largest cash valued chip, so we treated it as such!

I like it - aside from how it looks it sure as heck will make it more difficult for a player to go north/south, and for the denomination to be in unmistakable view when assessing an opponent's stack.
