Do you really think that's an itch which needs scratching? Sure - in Vegas folks might use it as a bridge between 1/2 and 2/5 or if they're a bit underrolled for 2/5, but I can't see it being a draw for NLHE in New England.
I suggest you reconsider spreading $1/$1 in lieu of $1/$3, since 1/1 not only might attract people to your room who wouldn't otherwise play 1/2 (either at your place or one of the other spots), plus it will remove some short stack nits who buy in for the minimum and bog down 1/2 tables, making your 1/2 players happier in the process.
Of course, this is just one man's opinion - you call your own shots, and I'm pleased to see all the documented progress you're making.
Please know that I enjoy trying things for the greater good. That means I don't mind making mistakes either.
My thought on this was/is that I wanted to see if $1/$3 would cannabilize(spell check) $1/$2. If it didn't than we possibly create a third option that players want. Easy to start the trial, easy to stop as well. Also, now that I know about Mohegan failing with it, I am even more excited about trying it. This way I get a twofor; besides seeing if players want it, I can also see if NH Poker has similar traits as Mohegan...fun.
note: PLO $1/$3(with a $5 straddle-not mandatory) is great sounding!
$1/$1, up until the earlier post, I didnt even know this existed. I'll talk to Lisa(my partner and George, our DOO) and get back to you. Off the cuff I have to think about how the rake would work, if this table earns the rewards/hour(oops did I let that slip out
) and if they would participate in the BB/HH fun stuff. note: just today I received an email about this so we already had this qued in to discuss!
Regarding progress updates: Social media doesn't come easy for me haha, very glad you like it.
