Nice tables/cards/chips.
Friendly dealers.
Great and juicy games (from a 1/2nl perspective).
Cons:
Disorganized - I walked in a noticed about 8 people on the 1/2nl list. I asked around on how to get on the list, no one really knew. They pointed me around and finally I talked to, who I guess was, a manager. I asked how do I put my name on the 1/2nl list and he pointed a table out and said there was a seat open right there. Weird, but cool that I got sat right away and didn't have to wait. Not sure if the list means anything
Wait staff - Most likely a temporary training issue, but it took forever to get a beer. Once I did order it was about 15 minutes until I saw it floating around the pit. I had to flag her down and tell her that I believe that was my beer on her tray. By then it was warm. Not a deal breaker. Everyone has a first day on the job, I have worked in bars for over 10 years, I can live.
Overall I'm very excited that I found this place. Being a relatively new NE'er I figured the nearest place to play cards would be at Foxwoods. I will be back for sure. Can't wait until Cheers Poker room opens, that will be a lot closer to me.

The floor people do a lot of floating around, and don't necesarily stand by the computer with the list.
The good news is that they are generally pretty quick to open new tables. Wait times are usually not bad. That's probably what happened when you were there - they just opened a new table and the list wasn't current, so a seat was available.
The waitstaff issue is just weird. They have 3-6 waitresses that cover the whole room with no designated areas. So you just have to flag down whoever walks by. It's not particularly efficient and very inconsistent.
But the room is nice, the place is lively and the games are good.
