Does anyone have experience taking public transportation to any of the NH card rooms from Boston?

I found a bus that goes to Salem but seems like the latest return is 4:50pm, trying to find an alternate way home that would leave later in the night.

Latest you're probably going to get is taking a rideshare to one of the commuter rail lines. Maybe Haverhill?

I’ve taken that Boston Express bus a bunch of times. From South Station in Boston to the Salem bus stop, landing about 1-2 miles from Chasers. Good, quiet, reliable. The last bus leaving Salem being 4:50 on weekends isn’t ideal.

You can also toy with taking the commuter rail up to Haverhill and ubering to Salem from there? Last weekend train leaves Haverhill at 9:30 PM to go to North Station, which also isn’t ideal but is 4.5 hours further out

Thanks for the tips, Haverhill commuter rail does seem like the way to go.

Also found a bus that will take me to Seabrook from South Station.

Do Chasers and The Brook both generally have a 5-10 game running on Saturday night?

Slow pony but definite beat that Holiday Inn Nashua is busto - off-peak it was a solid place to stay the weekend and within walking distance of BBC

Huh, that's a shame. I guess there is still a Motel 6 the other way... although I don't know what Nashua is doing with their street names, as it's on just one of several Dunstable Roads in the area. Dunstable, MA must have been quite the destination at some point!

So before the closing of Hampton Falls Poker room there use to be a mix 2/4 OE/Stud Hi/Lo game that would run during the opening hours during the week.

Seeing how they closed and they moved to the Brook does anyone know if that game runs? Also does anyone know if there are any local limit O8, or mixed games running in the NH rooms ( I know chasers and BBCC do not run those games)?

Thinking about checking out the filotimo room, never been there. They have a $240 on 10/30. How many tables do they have? Do those normally sell out?

I showed up to one of those tournies in May/June. Got there 5-10 min after tourney started and ended up on a 2 hour wait for an MTT seat.

No idea if that’s how it still is now, but if so…I would recommend getting there early

They expanded and opened up a lot more tables since then....room must have ~~30 tables now......doubt they will fill it...

The constraint isn't the tables. It is the number of dealers they have. Expect a long wait to get seated if you don't get there early.

Been a long time since I played some live poker and even longer since I played in New Hampshire, I think the last session I played was at Rockingham. Twin river was a much better drive for me. Looking to dust off a couple buy-ins knocking the rust off this week/weekend.

Chasers still have the most tables running on a random night? Or Boston Billiards? Drive from the south shore MA and game selection are highest priority. Appreciate any help!

BBCC has a discount rate with Courtyard Marriott in Nashua. A lot of people used that to stay up there when they played the recent multi-flight / 2 day event.

Anyone surprised that ended with an outright winner / no chop?

New to the area after being away for many years. Called up casino in Maine and they said closed until further notice due to covid.

I know there's a bunch in Boston/NH area, any that are particularly worth a 2 hour drive to get to?

How would one optimally go about it ie comps/memberships/card/clubs etc?

Nearly all casino poker been played in Asia so this is very new territory for me.

The Brook is the closest poker room to Maine that I've been to, FWIW, and it's a fine room.

Who is more likely to have 5/10 nlh run tomorrow (or run it the longest?) Mohegan or Foxwoods?

Lately it seems to run more frequently at Mohegan.

Looking at the Concord Casino Sunday tourney…does anyone know how much of the $150 buyin ends up in the prize pool?

Has anyone played it before?

its pretty safe to assume 20% rake but call them if you really want to know.

Very general/broad question but haven't played live in 2 years since COVID. On a saturday - what's the best room (or better rooms) to hit up - of course I play no limit but like PLO, and would love to find a mix game like OE (I know unlikely but any hi low games would be great) - Fox, Mohegan, Chasers, The Brook, Boston Billiards, MGM Springfield etc

Thanks

Foxwoods is your best bet for mixed, usually higher stakes though. Hearing MGM Springfield is trying to get a Thursday night HOE rotation going. Also heard Boston Billiards had a weekend mixed game going but never got confirmation.
