And let's remember there's no charity skim at Wynn. You'll get real comps, and a much lower rake. And when you beaten up at PLO, you have a blackjack table steps away that will let you bet whatever the @#$# you want.
And whoever said they'd rather drive from the boston area up to Salem NH on a friday than go to Everett is insane. 93N is stop and go all the way up on most fridays.
Agree with everything above. Also MA casinos will be 24 hours, which is huge. Not to mention they will serve Alcohol till 4am, which should make the games banannas into the wee hours of the morning.
I'm an avid PLO player and I know Chasers has good action, but I'm saving my hour+ drives to real casinos that will be open 24 hrs and have real comps with hotels on site.
Springfield should be very good and they sent me room offers, but I'm going to wait about a month before going because I think it will be pure chaos and they won't have enough tables early on. The brightside is MGM management isn't stupid. They aren't Twin River. My guess is they'll add tables immediately once they realize the demand far outweighs their current supply. I had friends at the soft opening who said it was a total zoo and I expect very long wait times early on.
Wynn will be the be all, end all of poker rooms and be far superior to everything else in New England. But that's still close to a year away and in the mean time Springfield should be awesome. First poker room in Mass run by a good company. Looking forward to it.
