Oh the old post count "insult". You're being rather disingenuous here though. You didn't post much until this year. You have 253 posts since March 1st. That pace would give you over 11,000 posts going back to 2002. Nice try though.

Not to mention that ytf was just making a joke, and he gets hammered by 2 posters.

Oh, I doubt it was two different posters.

(I'm wondering if that was your point?)

I mean, maybe they are exploring the possibility of buying the Seabrook room, who knows. But I don't think the owner wandering the room means a whole lot in itself (if even true). It makes good sense for a business owner to check out the competition from time to time.

but any movie with Mr. Mongo (Alex Karras) has to make you smile for at least a few seconds.

I wanna hear more about Puckster sightings. It's like following a fire truck, or hanging around watching police action. For some reason, it's fascinating.

Maybe there's something wrong with me?

It really seems a bit needless to me the way everyone enjoys crappng all over Puck. Maybe some of it is warranted, but much of it is just piling on.

Kind of agree at this point and I was very vocal about who puck was. Cheers is closed and his scheme's have come to an end. Time to move on as a community and put it behind us. I'll still look for news on exactly how this will play out.

I think the major question now is whether it goes to Ch 7 or 11....

My interest in the story: Does this state regulatory agency have any teeth? They used to be a joke when I worked up there. I would take great comfort in seeing them flex a little muscle. Sure, they shut the place down (either the fraudulent application, or the surveillance footage deleted, doesn't matter which), but are they going to look into the allegations of dipping into the charities' cut? If misconduct is proven, do they have means to impose further punishments?

Maybe, but based on what we saw posted a page or two ago all that would do is allow Puck to throw another log on the bankruptcy fire....

Does anyone know if there are any card rooms near North Conway / White Mountains?

I can’t imagine anyone wanting to buy Seabrook. It rains inside there. I’m shocked the building hasn’t gotten condemned.

None that far North. Lakes Region Casino is at the bottom of the Lakes area. Very small room near Laconia. Also a room supposedly opening in Lebanon next week.

Our website has a map with all of the card rooms in the country with more than 9 tables: http://www.pokerpilgrims.com/map-of-...-United-states

I sometimes take chips home with me to keep a poker BR and spending cash separate. I have about 1k worth of chips from Cheers. It seems like they are going under; so I assume I’m out the 1k?

You should talk to the NH Lottery / Gaming commission.

talk to them about what?

it seems extremely straightforward that if they reopen, they will honor the chips

if they dont, you would have to make a claim in bankruptcy court and likely get nothing

stories like this come out of the woodwork whenever a casino closes and the answer is the same every single time.

when you take chips home, you are effectively making a zero-interest loan to the casino.

Wish Foxwoods would come out with more of those limited-edition chips like they did for the Titanic a few years back (#'ed out of 5000). Sold those puppies for 15-20% markup on eBay!

Cassandra that will be a nice pilgrimage. I would love to do something like that one day.

Cheers will never open again and Dandreo will never show his face in the local poker community ever again. Never bring home chips from a shady establishment unless you want expensive souvenirs.

Just not true unless you mean NH only. He was playing a $1200 tourney at foxwoods and made day two earlier this week. The man has no shame.

The community needs to blackball him. He is an awful person. I bet all the Donatos that came before him are so proud.

why should he
the likes of Ivy Chris F., Howard L. and the other Full Tilt crooks stole millions from US players and they show up regularly at the WSOP.
they paved the way for him long before this

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make to me. I simply stated a sighting that is easily found on a foxwoods website. Puck is free to do as he pleases.
