It is 7 or 8 max. PLO interest lists are always up. Goes when busy, not often in afternoons or weekdays. Nights, Weekends, yes. I was there for a week in Feb.
Waitlists and games going are on PokerAtlas

Games have been 7 max with no plexiglass.

Rake is high, imo, but they offer pretty good high hands (check their website for high hand days/times).

I really wish they would implement some sort of player's reward program. It would be nice to get a free beer or sandwich every so often after playing many hours.

How is the game quality here? Just took a look to see they had 9 2/5 going on a wed night?! Is that standard? Masks required?

Tonight they’re doing their 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month (this changes to every Wednesday during season) high hand promotion, that’s why it’s as busy as it is. It also gets slightly busier than this every Saturday night after 6pm. During these nights the games are an actual joke, I’m winning something stupid like $180/hr on high hand nights over a multi year sample. It’s random whether you’ll get an action table full of bad players or a nitty as **** table full of bad players, but if you prefer one way or the other, it’s very easy to get table changes.

Typical weeknight looks like 3-4 1/2 and 2-3 2/5 with usually a PLO game (1-2-5 or 2-5-10). A lot of local grinders at those 2/5 games but most are **** regs with only 3-4 people who I try to stay out of their way. 1-2 is comically bad play at all times.

No masks or plexi.

Cool, is the food decent enough without needing to leave for dinner? How long do u get away from table to eat there or do they pick you up like a dinner list?

There's only 1 restaurant on site and the food varies, some things are quite good and others are pretty bad. For example, the fries are terrible so I always sub for tater tots. The smoked turkey club wrap is really good, their burgers are super mediocre because they use preformed frozen patties. But the sliders they make from fresh ground beef so they're actually quite good. It's hit and miss.

There is no such thing as dinner break or anything of that sort. You eat at the table or you have a maximum of 15 minutes off the table before they take your chips and then you have to wait an hour to come back within the normal buy-in limits (can't bring back anything over max). Although this is very loosely enforced unless it's a busy high hand night where all the tables are full and there's a list. I've seen someone picked up after 15 minutes maybe twice in 8 years.

Food at Brass Tap (restaurant/bar here) is decent enough.

Eating at the poker table is the worse though. I really wish rooms did away with it.

$2 tacos from a dog track. What could possibly go wrong?

Well I dunno I thought it was a legit small "restaurant". I found a good ramen place close by I will go to one night. Can you recommend any close by fast casual places or bar seating?

The "dog track" is long gone. The Card Room and Off Track betting facility reopened in a brand new building last autumn. https://www.bonitapoker.com/

The restaurant is actually quite good. Large, nice menu, spot on prices.

All this. It's a great place to play, but there's a decent player at most 2/5 tables. There's still plenty of action.

I'm not aware of $2 tacos, but the food is good. The service is hit or miss, but that's not why I'm there.

I still love this poker room (it's my "home" poker room), but the drink prices are a little ridiculous. I got a Stella draft last week....$8! Inquired about what's their cheapest beers and it was the domestics (Coors light, Miller, etc) at $4.50.
Not cool. Especially with no rewards program to help pay for the drinks.

The seats/table height is incredibly uncomfortable if you're short. Otherwise, action is great.

I noticed that on one of my last visits. It was after not being there for awhile and my first thought was "did they get new chairs?"

Supposedly the story is that they ordered the tables and chairs together as a set, decided they didn't like the chairs and swapped them out for different ones without checking the height. I'm 5'8" and they're not comfortable. I'm pretty used to it but it's mildly annoying the entire time I'm sitting there.

The drink prices are high for sure but that's what they wanted or they wouldn't have contracted with a craft beer bar chain to run the restaurant side for them.

I was in the area for three days of golf last week (golf in the morning, poker at night...the combo platter) and hated the chairs. I felt like a kid at the adults’ table.

Would it be outrageous to them if some people started to petition for better chairs?

For reference, this is my home room and I am between 5'11-6'0 depending how straight I stand.

On their opening day the very first time I sat at the table, the height difference between table and chairs felt very unusual and funky. It elicited a lot of comments throughout the room. Within a few days it became completely unnoticeable and nobody talked about it any further.

Now, when I travel to play other places and come back to this room, I do not notice any difference at all even though I know it's there.

Moral of the story, it just takes some getting used to. I could see it being a permanent issue if you're shorter than 5'7ish.

Finally got a chance to visit the room while visiting the rents. Overall it seems like a nice little room. Very bright and easy to see everything. It was pretty easy to get to. Players were terrible. Wins all around. In for 1k out for almost 1.8k in an hour thirty. Definitely will come back next time I’m down.

Snagged 1/2/5 chips for the collection.

I do agree the seats are a little weird, but not a deal breaker

The high hand promos are nice too. They are double on certain days, run every 30 mins, and pay out $1000 if you're on a 2/5 table. I hit one the other day, it was nice!

Yes, that was 2/5. There were high hands until like 1pm and then several of the bad loose passives pre/tight passive post left and were replaced with loose passives pre/loose aggressive post. It turned into a solid game. If I had more time I definitely would have stayed longer.
