My first trip to Pittsburgh.. need some casino help =)

hello.. im visiting USA for the first time.. going to stay in Pittsburgh for about 3 weeks, and was hoping for some casino time..
ive played alot of micros online, 6max cashgame up to 25nl and won about 2-2500 $
I pretty much know the abc pokers.-
i searched and found a casino called Rivers Casino, and saw they had a 1-3nl
game... its kinda highstakes when coming from micros.. but i have like 800$ i can use on the casino.. I want alot of playtime and just have fun at the tables, and of course trying to make some bucks..
Was thinking about just buying in for 100$, playing tight, and trying to build up.. and maybe later of i win some, buying in for 300$
Is there alot of fish in the casino?.. will it be like playing micros etc ?
Could anyone give me some advice regarding players, my buyin amount and just general =) ?

If you can beat 25NL 6 max online, you can beat Rivers 1-3NL, although you're going to have to make some adjustments. The biggest one being to play much, much tighter than you do online and forget about bluffing.

Where are you staying it Pittsburgh? Rivers is on the north side downtown, while the Meadows is out in the sticks on the southside.....Both rooms are good, I preferred Rivers...good games...younger crowd.....
Personally, I'd buy in for $200.....raises live are usually more than 3x the BB....anywhere from $12-$20 is the norm......

as ray said I would also buy in for more than $100. Even if its just $150. Raises for the most part are $8-$13. If someone goes $20, you pretty much know what they have. It is an easy game if you play tight ABC poker. Although tight ABC poker can get boring at times.
Also if poker is what you want to play, just don't get sucked in to other table games or slots or you could go busto on your first weekend.
With only $800 for three weeks you will need to be good on your BRM. I would personally make a budget for the entire three weeks and plan which days you will visit. If you win then you can add in more days.

also, time of day is also impt., most players in the casino from 9am-3pm are grinders/regs....games will be tougher, play evenings and all weekend for the easier games.....more fish....good luck!
