I don't see how they will fit 12 tables in there.

"Soft" opening of table games is Sunday, July 11, whatever that means. Don't know if that includes poker.
No they've stated the poker room is going to be on the 2nd floor in it's own room. The normal table games will be in a line from where you walk in past the reward center and than left all the way back to the bar.

Well, they changed the plan, or perhaps the second floor plan is for the future, but the room is where I stated and low and behold there are 11 tables in there quite comfortably. Don't know where the twelfth table is.

I am happy to see cupholders in the tables, unlike the Sands tables.

Hope don't cram us in there like sardines... there are way too many twenty something wanna-be players that routinely fail to shower on a regular basis. Almost makes me wish they'd bring back smoking ... LOL.

Regardless, that room will NEVER be empty. Let's hope the waiting times are less than 2 hours !!

This is disappointing news. I hope it's spacious enough in there. Did they take all the blackjack and VP machines out of there?

Does anyone know yet what games they will spread ?

I just spoke with the Director of Marketing Operations, a lot of the management there is from the Sands Atlantic City, including him.

He said it will be mostly Hold 'Em, NL and FL, he wasn't sure of the limits 1/2, 2/5, 5/10 are numbers that he mentioned. There will be a couple of other games but he wasn't sure what, just that Hold 'Em is most popular and will be the bulk of what's available.

They plan on Friday nights to have a $100 buy in NL Hold 'Em tournament, beginning July 23, pending approval.

There will be 11 tables, and they all seem to fit fine. I always imagine poker tables to be so big but they are no so big and with all of the various machines out of there the room looks much bigger. They're putting in new carpeting and I'm sure you won't feel like a sardine!

That's exactly where it is. Here's a picture taken Monday, June 28th.

That room looks small but I guess almost all of the room are going to be too small to start.

This is really good to know. I have been to the Mt. Airy lodge before and it's actually a fun short trip from NJ. Nice place to bring a date/wife/gf (hart hot tubs in the room, great service) the winter's are best imo, theres so much to do, between skiing, snowmobiling, Ice skating, and now playing poker just makes it over the top. i look forward to putting this back on the to do list. It's been about 8 years since I went, but will be back for sure now. Very smart expansion for this place and I highly reccomend a winter visit if your interested in going. Lot's to do, even more now.

Same property and location but not the same place. Since 8 years ago they bulldozed the place and built a whole new building/complex.

True, although all the amenities he mentioned are still available in the area. Only now he can stay in a casino with poker room when he visits

I have the description of the "soft opening". Many of you probably already know that it's for the gaming commission to see that the games are run properly.

It runs Sunday July 11, 2-10pm max bets $5. Charity proceeds benefit Friendship House and St. Joseph's Center. Don't know how this applies to the poker room.

Grand Opening Tuesday July 13, 10am.
