I actually played here for the first time in months over the holiday weekend. I can confirm the cage opened upstairs, which was nice, and they had random seat $50 giveaways, although it was unclear how they were doing it as there were never any announcements saying who won. That said, on July 3rd, they had 6 1/2 games and also managed to get a 2/5 off the ground as well. My 1/2 game was pretty juicy with a lot of tourists/weekenders in it. I may have to start coming back here.

Going to be skiining this weekend and staying somewhat near Mt airy so will probably end up there one night. Anybody got updates on the room? See last posting was quite some time ago

Does anyone read this thread anymore? I'm buying a Poconos house and want to know if this place is worth playing in. (Or if the room is still open, even!)

Thanks in advance for any info.

Still open. Couple 1-2 games run usually. Anything else would be infrequent at best.

Heard a rumor that the poker room was moving downstairs in the somewhat near future, which would be a big help. As is, cage upstairs is closed making buyins slow down the game and cashing out a real hassle. Games aren't that good as they could be. Runs 2-5 and PLO on the weekends as is.

Haven't been in it yet but looks like rooms back downstairs.

Yes was there Sunday but didn’t play poker. It’s back downstairs. Looks nice and spacious. TVs/video wall in the back for sports. About 5 games going IIRC. Hope they get some more action. Surely can’t hurt.

I have not been yest but they put it in Gypse Nightclub.
Was told from an X dealer they are waiting on approval to drop another dollar for promos. I will most likely check it out over weekend.

Yup in the old nightclub. It’s a nice open space that’s easily accessible from the casino floor. It has potential but I’m not hopeful for much more than an additional 1-2 game or two from the increased foot traffic.

Played here this weekend, first time in the new room, have played here a half dozen or so times before.

The new room is a colossal upgrade from the upstairs room. There were a fair number of rec players that wandered in and donated (and fewer than won a bit and left) - a rarity in the upstairs room. Out in the pit I overheard people discussing poker vs blackjack, something that likely wouldn't happen with an out-of-sight, out-of-mind room like the old one or the awful Mohegan Poconos room. The new room is nice, comfortable, and has good TV coverage. The sports book can only help.

The one big problem holding this room back is that there's no cage. Everyone buying in with the dealers slows the game down both in people buying in (and usually needed a floor to confirm it) and requiring more fills. Even a cage that the floors ran or that was only manned on evenings and weekends would be a huge improvement.

As is, will probably split between Sands/Wind Creek and here when I'm in the Poconos, whereas prior to the new room opening I had given up on Mount Airy.

I’m going to be in the area next Monday. How many games are generally going on during a Monday night in the middle of the winter.

I just called, the person who picked up said no info and closed at this time, probably would get a better answer if you went in person yourself on the reopening

I think we spoke to the same woman lol

I saw that earlier today also, but the games that were "going" were mixed games that probably never went or will go there.

I remember reading somewhere from a poker employee who said the room was opening on Friday, but didn't see any official notice or note on Bravo like they have for MSPD.

Edit: I just verified it's opening this Friday 12p idk why they're not advertising it yet.

Cool that’s good news, maybe they don’t want a big influx of people being there Friday? If MS and mount airy the only 2 places in the nj ny ct and pa area which will be open packed probably won’t be the word lol. Especially considering they are smaller rooms

Finally official confirmation - I've played in 3 rooms so far with dividers and these appear to be the worst ones. They're the only ones with metal poles between the plexiglass.

The best dividers are at MGM, and the ones at MDL are ok but when you sit in certain seats like the two beside the middle seat, or the 1 and 7 seat, you have to keep moving your neck side to side to see the flop so It might be alil annoying trying to see around those poles. Maybe I'm wrong. Hope whoever goes this weekend posts trip reports!!!

I’ll provide a report when I go, don’t know if I’ll make it that early (or if I want to, weekend might be packed)
